As some of you have been following along, my daughters and I are watching movies from a list we made. I’m actually the one who made the list of these movies. I wanted my daughters to be able to see some of the movies that I watched growing up. Many of these movies are some of my favorites, and I thought my daughters would enjoy seeing them as well. About Gremlins
Gremlins is a wildly original roller-coaster ride of hilarious mischief. One minute your hair will stand on end, the next you’ll hold your sides with laughter at the havoc these supposedly gentle furballs create when the rules surrounding their care and feeding are inadvertently broken one fateful Christmas. Written by Chris Columbus and directed by Joe Dante, Gremlins unleashes special effects that dazzle and enchant and merriment that lingers in the memory. And isn’t that “what superior popular moviemaking is all about” (Richard Corliss, Time).
We have decided to do snacks to go along with each movie that we watch. Since we picked out Gremlins this time, I knew that a candy board would be a great idea. I remembered in this movie that the Gremlins go to the movies, so I thought candy, popcorn and soda would be a great choice this time. It was a great snack board for the movies. We brought out a variety of candies, some popcorn as well as some soda. I would have done Coke for this one since I know they drink that one in the movie, but my family likes Root Beer the most. We are not big soda drinkers, but this was a special occasion for us.
I thought I had watched Gremlins when I was younger, but it turns out that I never actually did get to see it. I’m so glad my daughters and I were able to watch this one together for the first time. It’s always nice watching a movie together with your family that nobody has seen. I’ve always loved Gizmo thought. When I was younger I always wanted Gizmo as a stuffed animal. I see they still have them out today, and my daughters now want one as well. We’ll most likely be grabbing one at some point.
If you still haven’t seen Gremlins yet, I’d recommend it. My daughter Mercades really loved this one. She considers it one of her favorite movies now. It was nice being able to see this with my daughters. We were all glad to have finally been able to sit down and see it together. It was a very interesting movie for sure. You can grab this off AMAZON too if you enjoyed it.
This is such a cute movie. It’s been ages since I’ve seen it, so I should really watch again. The board looks delish too!

I love this and do Mommy and Daughter movie nights. We make popcorn and cuddle in on the weekends. It is a special time to bond before she ages; she doesn’t think mom is cool.
That’s so great. We sure love it too. We normally watch them on Friday nights.
I traumatized my kids with this movie when they were little LOL they love it now though. I also always wanted a Gizmo & still do. I know Build-a-Bear had them for a while. Also, I think it’s Netflix that has a cute animated show.
We love Gizmo! I’m sure we’ll be getting him real soon.
I loved the first Gremlins movie! It’s so iconic. Haven’t seen the sequel in many years though. I should rewatch.
We are excited to see the second one as well now that we’ve finally seen the first.
I love the idea of having themed snacks to go along with each movie—I’ll definitely have to try that with my family. It’s always special when you can introduce your kids to movies you loved growing up. And it’s so cute that your daughters now want their own Gizmo stuffed animals!
Yes! Gizmo is a favorite of ours, especially now after seeing the movie.
I watched Gremlins ages ago. This timeless favorite never fails to entertain with its perfect blend of humor, thrills, and a touch of holiday magic.

The candy board was a perfect choice for this movie, as it reflected the Gremlins’ behavior of wreaking havoc. Watching movies with family can be an enjoyable and memorable experience and can create bonding moments, especially when trying a new movie together.
Yes, I thought so as well, that’s why we decided to go with candy for this one.
