Movie #5 is Mrs. Doubtfire

If you have been following along my movie journey, you’ll know that my daughters and I are watching movies from a list I made. You can check that list out HERE if you’d like. There are a ton of movies on this list that I plan to watch with my daughters. These were movies I watched growing up, so I want them to experience these movies as well. We all sit down as a family each week and pick out a movie. We don’t always get to watch one a week, but we try.

About Mrs. Doubtfire

Daniel Hillard (Robin Williams) is no ordinary father, so when he learns his ex-wife (Sally Field) needs a housekeeper, he applies for the job. With the perfect wig, a little makeup and a dress for all occasions, he becomes Mrs. Doubt- fire, a devoted British nanny who is hired on the spot. Free to be the “woman” he never knew he could be, the disguised Daniel creates a whole new life with his entire family.

Charcuterie Board

I always make some kind of snack or charcuterie board to go along with each movie. This one was a bit harder to try to come up with something, but I think we did a pretty good job. I know in Mrs. Doubtfire there are some dishes that she makes, but my daughters are more on the picky side, so I went with some pasta and salad for this one. Also, I added in the carrots since there was one scene that had carrots in there. I know they sometimes eat pasta and I’ve seen salad on there as well, so I thought having pasta would be a good choice since we all love pasta.

Mrs. Doubtfire has always been a favorite movie of mine. My daughters ended up really liking the movie as well. It had been awhile since I have seen this movie, so it was nice to be able to see it with my daughters. It’s always fun seeing movies you saw when you were younger, and then watching them with your kids. I always thought this movie was hilarious and very good.

If you still haven’t seen this movie yet, I have to highly recommend it. One of my favorites!! You can grab it off AMAZON as well if you’d like. This was such a classic movie for me. I have seen it many times, but it had been awhile since the last time I saw it. I’m glad to say I still love the movie, even to this day.
