Have you ever moved or even thought about moving? In my lifetime I’ve moved about five or more times. I’ve only lived in two different states though. Right now I currently am living in Wisconsin but when my husband went to college I moved with him to Illinois. So I guess you can say the only reason we had moved to Illinois was because of my husband going to college. We were there for a couple of years and have moved back to Wisconsin for now and plan to stay here in Wisconsin for a while or even forever.
Have you ever thought about how many times someone actually moves? Did you know that 37% of Americans never moved out of their hometowns? That’s not true for me but I’m back in my hometown now. I don’t see myself moving from my hometown for a while either. I actually like living where I do now because it’s a nice little town where a lot of people seem to know everyone.

Did you know that more than 15% of the U.S. population moves a year? I didn’t know this and I’m a bit surprised. I thought the percentage would have been a lot higher. The infographic posted at the top of this post is very interesting and I didn’t know most of what was shown. I’m actually not to surprised with the percentage of those not moving and staying in their hometowns. I have a lot of friends and family that have stayed in their hometowns for years.
My husband was born in Minnesota, yet he moved to Wisconsin when he was about twelve or thirteen I would say. Of course I was born in Wisconsin and I stayed in Wisconsin almost my whole life. My oldest daughter was born in Illinois and my youngest was born in Wisconsin, so our family was born in a few different states, how about yours?
Do you know what top 5 states people are leaving? #1 is New Jersey, #2 is Illinois, #3 is West Virginia, #4 is New York and #5 is New Mexico. I actually figured that Illinois would be one of the top states. I used to live there and I actually loved where I was but I wanted to move back to Wisconsin where I felt safer.
Do you fit within any of the categories above shown in the infographic? How many times have you actually moved?

Yep I know the feeling wish it was this organized moving as it was when I moved from Illinois to California years ago.. It required a moving transport service that took roughly 2 weeks to deliver any of our belongings.

I have moved so many times I lost count. I know 22 before I was 16 years old and that was because my father was in military.
