We all like to have a drink once in a while right? I’m not a big drinker but I like to have an occasional drink. I’m one of those who loves the flavored drinks or the fruity drinks. I’ve always wanted to try a frozen drink but haven’t been able to yet. Luckily Old World Gourmet has many choices of drink mixes to choose from that need to be frozen.
I was so excited to have the chance to finally try out a frozen drink. I chose to try out the Cosmopolitan Party in a Pitcher, Lemon Drop Bitch Bag and Strawberry Cream Cheese Chewies. The chewies are food , so they do have more than just drinks to choose from. I’m sure you will find something you would love to try out.
The first thing I made was the cosmopolitan. I used vodka to mix with the drink mix. You can also use white wine if you don’t like vodka. You will need a 2 liter pitcher to mix everything up in. The cosmopolitan came with a pitcher since it was the cosmopolitan party in a pitcher package. I actually ended up freezing mine over night because I got tired and ended up falling asleep. Normally you would only have to wait about four hours for it to freeze. I tried a little bit of this in the morning since I had my children and then after they went to bed I put some in a glass. It was very delicious. I couldn’t believe it, but it even smelled really good.
I also had the lemon drop bitch bag. This is similar to the cosmopolitan except this one just came in the bag and without a pitcher. I also let this one sit overnight and tried it the next morning. It tasted just like lemonade except you could tell it had the vodka in it. Both of these were some pretty strong drinks but they were so wonderful. My father and husband even enjoyed it. Like I mentioned before, I love fruity drinks so these were the perfect choices for me.
The food item I had chose was the strawberry cream cheese chewies. I did have to add a few of my own ingredients but they were so delicious! My father tried some of these as well and he really enjoyed them as well. They defiantly were chewy, which makes them so good. I could taste the strawberry in them and I just love the taste of strawberries. They are one of my favorite fruits, so anything with strawberries in them is always a must for me. If you check out my photo below it shows before and after pictures of the strawberry chewies. The before picture was right before I put them in the oven to bake. The after is after cooling from the oven and cutting a couple of pieces. They are so delicious!
