Pierre’s Ice Cream Company Review

Do you love ice cream? Maybe you’re not even an ice cream fan but maybe you love frozen yogurt or even sherbet. What ever it may be there are all kinds of flavors out there. I’m always up for trying new flavors and especially trying them from different companies. Have you ever heard of Pierre’s before?

Pierre’s Ice Cream Company opened its doors in 1932 at a chic East 82nd Street and Euclid Avenue location. Their ice cream was sold by cones, cups or hand packed to take home.

I received six different kinds of ice cream, sherbet and frozen yogurt to review from Pierre’s. I was absolutely amazed to find out that I loved every one of these products.

The Probiotic Yovation Vanilla, Pomegranate, Blueberry frozen yogurt was amazing. Yovation contains live and active yogurt cultures that provide all the goodness and benefits of yogurt, plus a probiotic culture, GanedenBC30 to help promote digestive health.

My four-year old daughter and I were in heaven when we tried this out. She was digging through all the purple yogurt and I’d eat all of it. I would have to agree with her that the purple part of this yogurt was the best. It had more of a sweeter taste that we both loved.

Pierre’s Signature Mocha Mud Pie is made with chocolate and coffee ice cream with chocolate cream cookies and cookie fudge swirl. Before looking to see what was in this one I figured it looked good and I would like it. I later realized it had the coffee flavor so I was a bit worried about trying this one out. Luckily it was better tasting then I thought. You can still taste the coffee flavor but not as much as I thought it would be. With all the other ingredients it made this actually taste really good. It taste so great with the cream cookies and the fudge swirl. I think that’s what made the coffee not as strong as I thought. That’s a good thing to me though because I’m not usually a fan of anything with a coffee taste. I’m so glad that I could actually enjoy this though.

Pierre’s Signature Exquisite Vanilla was delicious. This is not like your ordinary vanilla ice cream. This was so much different yet so great tasting. It was extremely soft and smooth and very enjoyable. This would go great with some chocolate syrup or honestly with anything. I however prefer to eat this just like it is. This is the best vanilla ice cream I have had yet.

Hola Fruta! Pure Fruit Sherbet Pina Colada was very different. If you’re a fan of Pina Colada then there is no doubt that you’re going to love this sherbet. Sometimes I like coconut and then other times I don’t like it. It all depends on what the product is and how it tastes. I do love pineapple though. This was very different to me but honestly it wasn’t that bad. You could really taste the coconut in this and you could get a bit of a taste of the pineapple as well. Defiantly a must have for those Pina Colada fans out there.

Hola Fruta! Strawberry Pure Fruit Sherbet was amazing. This is seriously the best strawberry sherbet I have had yet. It was so full of strawberry taste that it just blew me away. I honestly couldn’t believe how great this was. I could have seriously ate the whole thing in one day. I wouldn’t let myself do that but that’s how amazing this was. If you love strawberries then I recommend you try this out. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Probiotic Yovation Frozen Yogurt  Moose Tracks were alright for me. Surprisingly this was probably one of my least favorites out of all of them. It’s not bad but it didn’t blow me away either. This product has moose tracks fudge swirled in vanilla frozen yogurt with peanut cups buried in. I think it may have been the vanilla yogurt that threw me off on this one. Otherwise it really wasn’t that bad. If you like vanilla frozen yogurt with chocolate and peanut butter cups then I’m sure you’d love this one. I’m more of a flavored yogurt fan myself.

If you’re looking for some great frozen yogurts, ice creams, sherbets and more delicious frozen treats then make sure you check out Pierre’s Ice Cream Company. They have a lot more choices to choose from. I’m sure you’ll find one of your favorite flavors there.

Disclosure: I received these products in exchange for a review. The opinions are all 100% my own and may differ from yours.
