Rapunzel Braided Hair Bread-Inspired by Tangled Before Ever After

17 April, 2017 by KatBp 66 Comments

Disclosure: I received this product in exchange for a post. The opinions are all 100% my own and may differ from yours.

How many of you have seen the movie Tangled before? I remember when it first came out. I was excited to be able to see it. When my girls were old enough to want to watch movies, I let them watch it as well. It was one of their favorite princesses as well. She always has been one of my favorites. As you can all probably remember, at the end of the movie it was a great happily ever after. Rapunzel and Eugene got together in the end and were happy.

Just recently they released a second one, and it’s called Tangled Before Ever After. It was exciting to hear they made another, but it’s a bit different then the first one. This one looks more like a cartoon version of Tangled. It’s still nice to see it and see how everything went after the two were together.

Since this movie just came out not long ago, I wanted to make something that was inspired by the movie Tangled Before Ever After. One of the things that have always stood out to me in this movie, was Rapunzel’s hair. As you know in the first movie it was cut off and ended up being short and brown. If you watch this movie, you’ll see how she gets it back to being that long beautiful hair she’s always had.

Since her hair is one of the biggest parts of the movie, I wanted to make something that would resemble her hair. It took some time to figure out what I could do, but I remembered her having her hair braided and having flowers in her hair. That’s when I came up with the idea to make some braided bread that would look like Rapunzel’s hair.

This recipe takes very little ingredients. All you need are:

6 Rhodes Dinner Rolls

1 tsp. Melted Butter

A Pinch of Garlic Powder

Flower Icing Decorations

The first thing you want to do, is to thaw out your dinner rolls. All I did was follow the back of the instructions on the package. You’ll want to wait a few hours for them to rise so you can cook them.

Next you’re going to want to put two dinner rolls together and roll them out. You want to do that three times so you have your three pieces. You want these long enough to make the braid.

Once you have those pieces ready, you can start braiding it. You’d do this just like you were braiding someones hair. Then you can cook this on 350 degrees until it gets brown.

It took over a half hour to get this cooked the way I like it. Bread does take some time to cook, so make sure to wait til you get that golden brown look to it. Then I took the melted butter and garlic powder and mixed it up. Once that was done I brushed it on top of the bread.

After that, I started placing the flowers around the bread. This was the final touch to really make it stand out and look like Rapunzel’s braided hair.

Here is some more info about the movie Tangled Before Ever After:

After all those years stuck in a tower, everyone’s favorite “barefoot princess” (Mandy Moore) yearns to make up for lost time. With the help of her true love Eugene (Zachary Levi), pals Pascal and Maximus and daring new friend Cassandra, Rapunzel postpones her wedding and royal duties to defy danger and boldly explore life beyond Corona’s walls. Sparkling with fun, adventure and music from the legendary Alan Menken, Tangled Before Ever After is a magical movie event!!

Since this movie is already out, you can pick up your very own copy. If you loved watching the first Tangled movie, I think you’ll enjoy this one as well. You’ll get to see more about what happens after the first movie came out. You’ll get more of an idea on what Rapunzel and Eugene are up to now after everything they went through in the first movie.

Have any of you seen Tangled Before Ever After yet? If so, I’d love to hear what you thought. How about the first movie, what did you all think about that one? I certainly enjoyed them both!

That bread is a work of art without the flowers but with the flowers it is so special. I missed the first Tangled so I want to bring my nieces to the new one.
