Sea Life Review

16 April, 2013 by KatBp 12 Comments

SEA-LIFE

My kids would not stop talking about seeing the fish and the sharks. They get so excited when they get to see different types of animals. I was so excited when I had the chance to go to Sea Life. I just knew my kids were going to love it.

Sea Life Aquarium is located inside Mall of America in Minnesota. It’s a great place for families to go if you’re looking for something to do with the kids. I think all kids would really enjoy going here if you’re ever in the area. It’s not just for kids either, adults will enjoy going their as well.

rockpoolAfter arriving we checked in and got wristbands. We had to go down the escalators to get to Sea Life. They scanned our wristbands once we got their. The first thing we all went to see were some fish, sea stars and a few other creatures. They had an interactive rockpool where everyone can touch some of the creatures. My daughters were excited to be able to touch the star fish. This was the first time my kids and I have touched a star fish. I’ve always loved star fish and to be able to touch one was amazing. They did have rockpool experts there to help out. That way they’re watching the kids while they’re touching all the creatures in the rockpool.

There were so may different creatures that were so amazing. The picture about is of a starfish that was there. I’ve never seen a starfish like this before. I couldn’t believe how beautiful this starfish was. I’m not sure what these type of starfish are called but I couldn’t stop looking at it. It was so amazing. What a unique star fish! After seeing a few more star fish, crabs and others, we headed through a tunnel with lots of amazing creatures.

As you can see from the photos above, we saw so many neat creatures. The jelly fish and octopus were a some of my favorites. This was my first time seeing both of those. I couldn’t believe how amazing the jelly fish were. They were absolutely beautiful. They had these lights that lit up the jelly fish. They made the jelly fish look like they were different colors, like blue, pink, purple, orange and more. I have always loved seahorses as well. I think they’re so neat.

There were lots of sharks, fish and sting rays. A lot of the fish and sharks they had there were ones I’ve never seen before. The whole underwater experience was very neat. This was my first time going somewhere that was full of amazing underwater creatures. It was nice to see them all up close. They even had feeding times where you’d get to see them feed different creatures. While we were there we got to see them feed the sharks. Although while we were there the sharks never did go for the food, but it was still need to see them try feeding the sharks.

The overall experience was amazing. I’d definitely go here again with my kids. They enjoyed looking at everything. If you’re ever in the area of Bloomington, MN make sure to go to Mall of America and check out Sea Life. Lots of amazing creatures to look at and I’m sure you’ll have a great time. The kids will especially have a great time. You can check out their ticket prices and get them online for a discount before buying them at the aquarium.

Disclosure: I received tickets in exchange for a review. The opinions are all my own and may differ from yours.

Great pictures! there is something like this in the AZ Mills mall in AZ. It was added shortly before I moved to UT but I was back last month visiting and walked by it. Looked cool (from what I could see). Might have to pay to check it out next time I’m in town!
