Slopjar Book Review

25 October, 2012 by KatBp Leave a Comment

Ingrid Jennings is the author of the book Slopjar. She loves to write soul-captivating poetry. She is a Louisiana native that now resides in South Florida. She loves to read, write, and drive fast cars.

Slopjar is a book of poetry. There are seven different sections to this book including: Lunatic, Loneliness, Laughter, Lust, Love, Lucifer, and Lord. Each of the poems really speak out to me. They actually start to sound more like stories than poems. They are truly meaningful and go through such deep thoughts. I have never read such great poetry before.

The poems go in to such depths that take you on a very emotional journey. I found myself wanting to keep reading more and not stop until I was finished with the book. Of course with two kids I was unable to read it all at once. Some of my favorite poems were from the Love section.

This book can or will truly touch your soul. I know that it has already touched my soul. Ingrid Jennings is an amazing writer. I have never read any poems quite like hers. They are very unique. I can even relate to some of her poems. They are full of emotion, struggles, depth, and more. Reading through all the poems made me feel as if I were there and going through it all.

If you love poetry that goes really deep and really catches your soul, then I recommend you read this book. I was so amazed at the writers ability to write such amazing poetry. I am truly grateful to have gotten the chance to read this book. I have never read any poetry as great as Ingrid Jennings can write. This is a must read!
