How many of you have seen the movie Smurfs The Lost Village? My husband and I watched this movie with our daughters not long ago. My girls have been watching this movie a lot since we got it. We all really enjoyed the movie. I remember watching some of the other Smurfs movies, and I have to say that I loved this one a lot more than the others.
Synopsis:
In this fully animated, all-new take on the Smurfs, a mysterious map sets Smurfette and her best friends Brainy, Clumsy and Hefty on an exciting and thrilling race through the Forbidden Forest filled with magical creatures to find a mysterious lost village before the evil wizard Gargamel does. Embarking on a rollercoaster journey full of action and danger, the Smurfs are on a course that leads to the discovery of the biggest secret in Smurf history!
My whole family enjoyed this movie a lot. If you haven’t seen the movie yet, than I would highly recommend you buy your own copy and watch it soon. This is one of those great family movies that you can watch over and over. I have personally always loved the Smurfs, so it was no surprise that I enjoyed this movie a lot. I’m very happy that I got to enjoy it with my girls. They know a lot more about the Smurfs now too!
I even made a recipe that went great with this movie. I called it Smurf Popcorn.
Ingredients:
8 cups popped popcorn
10 oz. bag of mini marshmallows
1/4 cup butter
Blue food coloring
Blue sprinkles
Directions: The first thing you’re going to want to do, is to pop the popcorn. After that you can melt the butter over the stove. Once the butter is melted, pour in the marshmallows. Keep stirring til it’s all melted. Once that’s melted, you’ll want to put a few drops of the blue food coloring in and mix that up. After that, you want to pour that mixture over the popcorn and mix it up quickly. You can pour as many sprinkles on top as you want. That’s it! It’s a very simple and delicious recipe. My girls loved it.

The Smurfs first came out when I was growing up. I had a ton of Smurf things. I wish I had never gotton rid of them to give my little ones. I love sharing things from my past that come back with them.

Wow that must have been “sweet”….. I am sure the kids would love that. I am not sure that it wouldn’t be messy with the marshmallows — but at least it’s blue! I think I will try it with rice krispies type cereal — then I can cut them into blue bars!
It’s really not to messy at all. It’s almost like making popcorn balls too. I could have rolled them up like that.
