I’m sure you’ve all heard of the Soda Stream, am I right? If you’ve never heard of the Soda Stream then I can tell you that it’s a soda maker. You’re able to make your own soda right at home and it’s a much cheaper and healthier option then the regular soda you would normally drink. The Soda Stream is so easy to use and everything really tastes like the actual brands of soda.

The Soda Stream can turn tap water in to sparkling water in just 30 seconds. One great thing about this is that you’re also saving the environment with it. You won’t have to worry about all the plastic bottles and cans. You won’t have to throw any of that away. I always recycle so that wasn’t a problem with me but I know not everyone recycles and I hate to see things get thrown away that could have been recycled. It’s a great thing the Soda Stream was invented. There are a lot of flavors to choose from that you can add to your water and instantly turn it in to soda. It really is that simple.

I received the Soda Stream Source to review along with some different flavors of soda and water. The first thing you want to do when you receive your Soda Stream is to make sure to put in the CO2 carbonator. Once that is done it’s all so simple.

All you have to do is fill the bottle up to the line with water. I prefer to use filtered water and it was actually suggested in stead of tap water. I think it gives it a better flavor. I think if you used bottled water it would be just as great. You’ll then put the bottle in the machine. It’s so easy it snaps right in. No having to twist it on with the Source machine.

You’ll see three different lights on this Soda Stream. This determines the amount of fizz you’d like in your soda. What you have to do once you get the bottle on is to push down on the top of the Soda Stream and it will start making the fizz. The three level carbonation indicator is what those lights are called and they help determine whether you want little fizz, medium, or lots of fizz. I love to go all the way and get as much fizz as possible. I seem to think it tastes much better this way. You may think differently so you can have fun experimenting with that.

As you can see from the photos above, this is where the carbonation/fizz starts. All I had to do was press down on the top and you’d start seeing all the bubbles. It’s actually very neat and interesting. I absolutely love the Soda Stream Source. It’s so easy to use and it makes great soda too.

The next step is to pour the kind of soda mix you want to use. My husband and I used Root Beer in the photo above. I’ve also tried many other flavors and they all taste like the real name brand sodas. You want to make sure to be careful when you’re pouring in the mix and to put the lid back on and slowly shake it up a bit to get it all mixed up. Just make sure not to actually really shake the bottle and to do slow motions.

I’m very happy with this Soda Stream and I would highly recommend any soda drinkers to buy one of these. They’re so much cheaper than buying soda out of a bottle or can and they are a healthier option as well.

My kids have been hounding me for one of these since they first saw them in the stores. I keep holding off because I was unsure of the taste, but it seems that the consensus is that they do taste like the name brand things. If {or more like WHEN} I get one, I think Root Beer would be my first attempt. Thank you for sharing your experiences with it, it has helped in finally making a decision.

I almost got one of these last month so maybe I can snag one post Christmas. Your instructions look pretty easy and I love the DIY features instead of buying expensive soda.
