What kind of movies do you enjoy watching? For me, I enjoy all types of movies. It all depends on the whole story. I could watch just about any type of movie as long as there is something in it that interests me. Do you enjoy watching movies that are more geeky or nerdy? I don’t usually go for this type, but I have seen a lot of great movies that are considered geeky or nerdy. Have you ever seen the movie The Stream? This movie was just released on August 26th.
I would have to say that this movie is a comedy yet geeky as well. It has a lot to deal with kids obsessing over George Lucas’s Star Wars saga. Ernest Terry is the one who’s really obsessed with it.
Ernest and his friends from around the neighborhood play a capture the flag contest. This consists of yellow wiffle ball bats that are supposed to be like lightsabers, Jedi battles and more. While the contest is going on, a bully breaks Ernest’s weapon in half. His weapon was already damaged before it was broken in half, but now it’s completely broken. I’m sure you’re wondering how he is going to play now, right?
All the kids end up accepting a mission to follow a nearby stream to the town mall. They’ll have to buy a new bat. Of course they have to return home before their parents know that they’re missing.
Do you think they’ll be able to pull this all off? You’ll have to buy this movie to find out the rest of the story. There are plenty of laughs and fun in this movie. If you enjoy comedies with some geeky twist to it as well, than I think you’ll enjoy this movie. It’s all about great friendships too!
