The Island of Lost Girls

I love a good story about adventure, so when I heard about The Island of Lost Girls, I knew I’d want to see this film. I’ve always enjoyed watching movies where someone gets lost and has to find their way home. Of course I’d never wish that to ever happen to anyone in real life, but it’s a good story to watch. These three young girls thought they were just going out for an adventure, when things turned wrong and they ended up getting lost out in the water.

I actually really enjoyed watching this movie. It’s interesting to see how younger kids can survive on their own. These three brave girls did it all together. They were just playing out in the water at a beach, and then suddenly the waves took them all to an island. Now they have to learn to survive until they can try to find a way to get back home. It’s a really good story to watch. I’m glad I was able to check out this film.

When a riptide sweeps three young sisters away, they wash up on an island where they must escape a sea cave filled with crashing waves, discover abandoned artifacts from the island’s previous residents, and encounter hundreds of sea lions and giant elephant seals.  As they make their way to a distant lighthouse, they learn the importance of never giving up and sticking together along the way.

STARRING: Avila Schmidt (Adventures of Jojo (and His Annoying Sister Avila)), Autumn Schmidt, Scarlet Schmidt, directed by their parents Brian & Ann-Marie Schmidt
GENRE(S): Family, Kids, Adventure
RUNTIME: 103 Min.

This is a true indie filmmaking. It’s always great to support these films because they’re independent filmmakers. I personally love to support them and will continue watching all films like these ones. I love to support others in the makings of their films or any of their dreams.
