Our medical practitioners are always telling us that we need to get ourselves outside into the fresh air so that we can fill up our lungs and enjoy lots of vitamin D that the sun provides us for free. For many of us, we have the normal 9-to-5 job where we spend the better part of our day inside a building and this is not good for our general health and well-being. Many people find themselves in a situation where their energy levels have been eroded and no amount of vitamins and changes in diet seems to be addressing the problem.
You need to stop making excuses as to why you can’t spend more time outside and especially so if you are talking about trying to stay out of the sun so you can avoid the harmful effects of UV rays. It is entirely possible to erect structures like farm sheds and don’t let the name throw you off. Sure, it can be used as a conventional shed to store animals and food produced for them but all it takes is a little bit of out-of-the-box thinking and you can use this same structure as a place that you can call your own and will bring you some much-needed privacy and more time spent outdoors.
This is just one way to be able to spend more time in the outside world where we all should be and the following are some others.
- Put a plan in place – If you want your garden to be more inviting so both you and your family members and friends can spend more time there, it pays to have a plan in place so that you can start making the changes as soon as possible. Once you have your shed, you can start thinking about landscaping around it and maybe even setting up some kind of patio area for entertaining and for enjoying a few cold ones.
- Remember the shade – It is true that we like to spend a lot of time in the sunshine here in Australia but as we all know, too much of it is not good for your skin and it can make you age prematurely. This is why you need to think about the location for putting your shed because you do not want to be getting many hours of direct sunlight every single day as this will help to warm up the inside. The good news however is that you can have extra insulation added to cool the inside down.
- Purchase flowers & shrubs – These will help to finish everything off nicely as you introduce nature into your new space. It’s always good to smell the flowers and to immerse yourself among the shrubs so that you feel a lot closer to nature than you did yesterday.
It’s time to start investing in yourself today and that includes putting money aside to purchase a shed which can be your oasis in this very busy world.
