Tropical Traditions Coconut Oil Review/Giveaway

27 July, 2012 by KatBp 5 Comments

I have never tried coconut oil before. Recently I’ve been wanting to try it out in a recipe, because my youngest daughter is allergic to a lot of stuff. I knew that coconut oil would be perfect in recipes for her. I have been meaning to make chocolate bars that require the use of coconut oil. I received the Tropical Traditions Virgin Coconut Oil to review, and I knew this was the perfect timing to make the chocolate bars.

After receiving the coconut oil I rubbed some of it on my hands. It’s very smooth, and smelt amazing. I decided to make chocolate bars for my youngest daughter (Tesla). She has many allergies, so I just knew I had to use this coconut in a recipe that she could have. I’ve always wanted to make her chocolate bars, so that’s what I made.

This recipe only calls for three ingredients, and those are, coconut oil, refined sugar, and cocoa powder. After melting the coconut oil over low heat, I added the cocoa powder and refined sugar. After everything was mixed together well, I poured it in a loaf pan. Then I put it in the fridge for about an hour, so that it would harden.

After taking the chocolate out of the fridge, I let my youngest daughter (Tesla) try out the chocolate. She’s the one with all the allergies, and she really loved it! I’m not a big coconut fan, but these bars tasted really good. I could taste a lot of coconut, and I really loved it! I’ll be making sure to find more recipes that require coconut oil, so that I can use it again.

Wouldn’t you love to try this Tropical Traditions Coconut Oil for yourself? Well, one of my readers will win a jar for themselves! Just enter with the rafflecopter below.
