Cheese Stuffed Turkey Meatloaf

18 January, 2017 by KatBp 84 Comments

Disclosure: I’m part of the Jennie-O Switch Circle Blogger Program. I was not compensated for this post but I did receive the turkey for the post. All opinions are 100% my own and may differ from yours.

Since I’m part of the Jennie-O Switch Circle Blogger program, I get some great Jennie-O products sent to me a few times a year. I love Jennie-O products because they’re healthier then most. This time around I received two packages of the ground turkey breast. I have always thought this was a great alternative to beef. It’s certainly healthier.

I have been wanting to make some meatloaf for a while now. It has been a long time since I have made meatloaf. I knew that this was going to be a great chance to try out some turkey meatloaf with the Jennie-O products.

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs. Jennie-O Ground Turkey Breast
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 1 Cup Ritz Crackers
  • 1/3 Onion
  • 1/2 Cup Ketchup
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1/2 tsp. Pepper
  • 1 tsp. Garlic Powder
  • Velveeta Cheese

First you’re going to want to get a larger bowl for all the ingredients. You want to add in everything except for the cheese. The cheese is going to be used for the filling inside the meatloaf.

Then you can start mixing it all up. Make sure you mix it up really good too.

Next you’re going to want to spray your meatloaf pan with cooking spray. Then you can put half the meat in there. Then you want to put your Velveeta cheese in and top it with the rest of the meat. You can decide on how much cheese to use. I ended up using roughly a cup of cheese.

You can bake this at 350 degrees for about 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours.

Then you can slice it up how you want. It will be oozing with cheese as well. You don’t have to put the cheese inside if you don’t want to either. That’s all up to you. You can always adjust how much cheese you want in it as well. I put a whole cup, which is why it oozed out a lot like this.

If you love meatloaf, I hope you’ll try making it with the Jennie-O ground turkey breast. Maybe you have tried it this way before, and if so, what did you think?

I love to use ground turkey in my recipes. It is a great way to make a recipe a little lighter. I will have to give this recipe a try this weekend.

Turkey meatloaf is one of our staple go to meals. Unfortunately, a staple meal is something that the family becomes bored with here and there. Add cheese and that may change EVERYTHING. Thank you for the recipe, I’m excited to try it!
