Unwinding Fun With Ravel Tales

My daughters have been in to these toys that have surprises inside. They have been loving all these toys where you can find something inside and it’s a surprise. They have no idea what’s inside until they get it open. I think that is what so many kids love about these, is that they’re a surprise. It’s fun to be surprised and not know what you’re going to get. One of their recent favorites, are the Ravel Tales.

About Ravel Tales

  • Each playset contains 12 surprises including button charms, pet’s name tag, stickers, sewing needle, collector card, pillow bed, yarn for pom poms and bracelet crafts and a collectible plush character.
  • Create three fun friendship bracelets and one braided necklace for you and your new pet.
  • Show off your Ravel Tales collection and prove your craftiness by creating 2 pom poms. Clip one to your bag or backpack and share the other one with a friend!
  • Sew together your pets’ very own pillow bed for them to lay on.
  • 12 Ravel Tales to uncover, plus 2 Rare Ravellers with gold and sparkle details. Collect them all!

My daughters were very excited about these. It was the first time they have had Ravel Tales, so they were excited to see who they were going to get. There are different pets you can get inside, along with many other great surprises.

Each yarn ball comes with a sewing needle so that you can sew together your pets pillow bed. Even the yard was extremely beautiful. They were such fun colors! My daughters commented on how great the colors looked too.

My daughters had a blast unraveling their yarn balls. I think they loved that part the most. Once they unraveled them, they were able to see all the wonderful surprises that were hidden inside.

Both of my daughters got a cat inside! They were thrilled to have gotten a cat because they both love cats. They even got different colored ones too, so they were happy about that.

Pillow Beds

We loved the fact that kids are able to sew together the pillow bed for their pets themselves. I have been wanting to teach my daughters to sew, and they do know a little bit about sewing, so they were able to do this themselves. It’s great for those just starting out with sewing too. A wonderful product for those who want to learn to sew. You don’t have to worry about them getting hurt because it’s not a real needle either.

It was great being able to see them sewing up their pillow beds. I love seeing when kids can be more productive like this. It’s a great skill to learn too, so this isn’t just a fun toy, but they can learn from them too.

Sew

Once they have it sewed up most the way, they can start putting in some of the yarn. You don’t want to sew it up all the way right away because you want to be able to put some of the thicker yarn inside. This is what is going to be used inside for the pillow. Once you have that inside, you can finish sewing it back up.

There are also pom poms you can make. My youngest daughter has a lot of practice with making these. She has made many of these before, and she loves making them. She was excited to be able to do these.

There was even stuff to make your own bracelets. My daughters and I have made a lot of bracelets before, and we have always enjoyed doing that. They came with these fun charms for the bracelets too.

My daughters had so much fun with all the DIY activities that were involved in this. You get so many fun items inside. We were all very happy with the amount of stuff inside. There is so much to do with Ravel Tales!

Make sure to check out my daughters YouTube channel where they did an unboxing video of Ravel Tales. (Video above.)

We all had so much fun with the Ravel Tales. They are such a great toy for kids. They’ll have a fun plushie, and you get to do a lot of fun DIY actitivies too. Kids are going to have so much fun with all the wonderful surprises inside!

What a great craft activity. And, also, school credits! Any activity at home should be considered credit for homeschooling and distance learning! I see art credits for this one!

Some family economics would fit in there too because of the sewing. Lots of fun!
