Have your kids asked you for a pet but you don’t want to get one? Pets can be a lot of work. We have two cats of our own and I honestly don’t think they are that much work. Of course there are other animals that are a lot of work and most love a lot of attention. Maybe you’re not home often, so you don’t want to get a pet.

The DinoPet would be a great pet for you. This is a different kind of pet. This pet can photosynthesize during the day and glow brilliantly when you play with it at night. The alluring blue light emitted by the DinoPet is bioluminescence, made from dinoflagellates — a type of single-celled plankton — found within the dinosaur-shaped micro-aquarium. I thought it was very neat to see. My children love it too.

You’ll want to keep your DinoPet on a schedule. You should have him in the light for 12 hours and then in the dark for 12 hours. It’s just like letting your pet stay awake for half the day and then he sleeps for half the day. He’s just like a real pet!

Once he goes in the dark, you’re going to want to wait for about 30 minutes before you can start to see him glow. It’s so neat to watch the blue color when he glows. My daughters think it’s really neat as well. They were very amazed by it. It was a bit difficult to get a good picture while he was glowing. The first photo is one of mine that I tried to capture. The second one is one that was on the DinoPet website. It really glows a lot like the second photo. It’s such an amazing pet!

You can put the DinoPet in natural sunlight. Just make sure it’s indirectly. You don’t want them to get to warm. You can also use LED’s or fluorescent light bulbs. You can place them 2-3 feet away from the light. Any other light can be damaging to your pet. You also don’t want to shake them to hard. Shaking them to hard can hurt or even kill them.

If you’re looking for an amazing pet, than the DinoPet would be great for you. They’re so fun to watch when they glow. With Easter around the corner, these would make a great gift too!
