End of May School Activities For My Girls

Last week my daughters both had a lot of great activities going on for school. One of those was a field trip for my youngest daughter to a place called Fawn Doe Rosa. This place has a lot of animals, which many you can feed. My husband and I were able to attend this filed trip with my daughter too.

All the kids had a great time feeding the animals. Above you’ll find my daughter (in the middle) with some of her friends. They’re all feeding the geese.

There was a fox there too. The fox was so cute!

The peacock was very beautiful! That was probably one of my favorites there. I love being able to see peacocks.

Pigs are one of my favorite animals. It was fun to be able to see them there too.

My daughter and her friends also had some fun feeding the deer. There were deer all over to feed. Some were out walking around as well. The deer are always one of my favorites here because they’re so much fun to feed.

There were also goats and sheep there. Those are always fun to feed as well. You always have to be careful with the goats because they’ll try to take all your food.

There were many other animals there as well, but those were just some of them. My daughter had a lot of fun being able to feed all the animals and being able to pet them as well. After we were done with her field trip I was able to go to my oldest daughters track and field day.

My daughter is the one in the white shirt with black pants and she’s got a pink headband on. She was able to do three different events for track and field day. They all included running too.

I was very proud of my daughter for doing a great job. She had a lot of fun too. I love when they do track & field because it’s a great way for all kids to get some great exercise.

The last part my daughter participated in, was the relay race. I have a photo above of that, but it’s hard to see since she was on the opposite side. This is where kids run 1/4 of the track and hand off a baton to the next person and they keep going til the last person is done. Overall my daughter did very well and she had a lot of fun. They all received ribbons at the end as well.

My oldest had a play the next day as well. This play was called “Why Bear Has a Stumpy Tail.” My oldest is very shy, so I wasn’t sure how it was going to go with the play. It turned out that she did all her parts with other people too. That means she talked in a group, which is good for her because she’s very shy and would most likely have not talked.

It was a very cute play too. All the kids made their own costumes. My daughter played a mouse. After the play was over we all were able to stay with our kids and have some treats. My youngest was even able to come in and eat with us once school was over since it wasn’t long after the play ended that school was over.

Overall we had an amazing week last week. My daughters had so many amazing activities going on. We all had a lot of fun. School is just about over for the year for my girls too. June 2nd is their final day and I’ll be able to eat with them for a cookout as well. This school year went by so quick.

Are your kids out of school yet? If not, how many days do they have left?

  1. It is fun to see all the end of year stuff that is going on now. My son has been out two weeks already and I loved all the activities they did too. It is SO cute!

  2. Wow, how fun. I wish my kids’ school offered so much fun. We had water day for the kindergartners and a couple of field trips, but that is all πŸ™

    • Sorry to hear that. They don’t do a whole lot in our schools either. A few field trips as well. That water day sounds like a lot of fun!

    • I’m excited for Summer vacation for them. I’m sure we’re going to have a lot of fun this Summer. I didn’t think there was still school going on past the middle of June.

    • It’s crazy how quick they grow up. I can’t believe the school year is already over…well tomorrow for them but close enough.

  3. I LOVE that the kids got to make their own costumes for the play. This makes me with I was in elementary again- such fun!

  4. What a fun trip! Petting zoos are always a treat for the little ones. Of course, I nearly have my own petting zoo on our farm lol but still plenty of animals we don’t have that are super fun for the kids to connect with!

  5. We have a similar schedule going on too!! End of the year clean up, school trips and presentations!! Only 3 weeks left! I don’t know if I’m more excited (no more lunches!) or if they are !! lol

  6. I personally prefer the end of school year activities that schools usually have. Looks like the kids had a great time and that farm is awesome! Madison loves petting animals. πŸ™‚

  7. I think my boys still have one month to go until school’s over. I love the pictures of the petting zoo! My boys play soccer, it’s so important to keep them active and away from electronics!

  8. Sounds like you have been busy. That field trip looks like it would be a lot of fun, I wish we had someplace more local to visit and feed the animals (though we have enough of our own). Three events for track and field is pretty impressive, glad you got to see your oldest for those and her play.

  9. It looks like you had a really fun day. It’s the best way to end a school year, actually. I love that the school took the kids to a zoo that has animals that they can feed and interact with. It’s a lot better than taking them to the larger zoos that also poses for more dangers.

  10. What fun your kids had on the school field trip with all those animals. I know I really miss the days when I would regularly chaperone my own 4 children’s trips when they were in elementary school.

  11. It is great to get children involved into different sporting activities, especially when the weather is good. They can have great fun with their friends!

  12. I bet they are excited to be done. We still have another month to go here in Canada. Keeping them busy during the summer can be a challenge…looks like you have it covered!

    • They’re sad and excited at the same time. I think my youngest is more excited and my oldest is more sad about this year being over already.

  13. So fun! I love seeing all of the different things that kids get to do at the end of the school year! It was never that exciting for me πŸ˜‰

  14. I do not have any kids. I will be taking summer classes starting June 6. I wish that peacock had spread his wings, the pic would have been so beautiful. I’ve never seen a fox in real life.

    • I also wish the peacock would have done that. Luckily I can go there again and stay longer and try to get a good photo of that.

  15. My kiddos don’t get out for another week, so they are just starting all of their fun stuff now. They have field day tomorrow and are both so excited!

  16. My nephews live in CT and they still have school until mid June but they have been doing a lot of fun activities in school lately. I remember when my daughter use to have field day. I use to volunteer for the day so I could enjoy all the outdoor activities with the kids.

  17. End of the year activities are always so much fun. We are wrapping up elementary school as my son is in official middle school kid. We have a similar place here in the DC area, the peacocks are so beautiful.

  18. Looks like the kids are having fun. Back when I was a kid, I love going to zoo or anywhere as long as I can see animals activities.

  19. Wow, I love such activity like this! The kids look like having tons of fun out their, wait for the peacock to show its real beauty.

  20. I’ve been in an activity like these when I was about the age of those kids. It is so wonderful to interact with the animals.

  21. I like something like this for my son, especially the running part. It is so nice to have some activities like this.

  22. It looks like fun. I had a goose chase me once. I think she had an egg and I got too close to the area. πŸ˜‰ She made her point. πŸ™‚

  23. We aren’t done until next Friday, but I cannot wait for some summer fun! I’m trying to organize a schedule so I can still get work done, but have plenty of time with the kiddos. I love pigs too–they’re so cute!

  24. Believe it or not I still have about 2 and a half more weeks of the kids being in school, I already have plans for what I would love to do with them this summer so let the games begin!
