Spicy Penne Pasta with Ragu’s New Spicy Italian Style Pasta Sauce

Disclosure: I received a jar of this sauce to try out. I was also compensated for this post. The opinions are all 100% my own and may differ from yours.

Do you enjoy spicy foods? I personally love hot and spicy foods. I think you can create a lot of dishes that are spicy/hot. 73 percent of consumers prefer dinner to include hot or spicy foods and 80 percent of them like spicy foods in general. I honestly didn’t know this was such a high percentage, but then again it doesn’t really surprise me. Ragu has a new product called the Spicy Italian style Ragu pasta sauce featuring fiery red pepper flakes!

I received a jar of their new product to try out. The pasta sauce is available nationwide for a suggested retail price of $2.09-$2.49. Since I love spicy foods, I was excited to make a dish out of this product. I knew that some kind of pasta dish was going to be perfect for this.

For the recipe I made, you’ll need the following:

  • 1 Jar of Ragu Spicy Italian Style Pasta Sauce
  • 14.5 oz Can of Diced Tomatoes
  • 16 oz. Box of Penne Rigate Pasta Noodles
  • Mozzarella Shredded Cheese
  • Polish Sausage (You can use any kind of sausage you’d like)

This recipe is extremely easy to make. First of all you want to boil your noodles til they’re done. Then you can put them in any kind of dish you’d like. Mix it with the jar of sauce, and diced tomatoes. I usually heat up the sauce before putting it with the noodles as well. Once the sausage is cooked, you can add that as well. Then you’ll want to mix it all up. After that you can sprinkle some of the Mozzarella cheese on top. That’s all you have to do. It’s that simple!

If you enjoy spicy/hot foods, I hope you’ll enjoy this recipe. It’s a great tasting pasta dish. My husband and I loved it. My kids don’t like spicy foods, so I didn’t let them try this, and my youngest can’t have certain dairy products, so she was unable to try this anyways. I’m hoping one day when they get older they’ll enjoy spicy foods as well. Right now they’re just to little to enjoy certain spicy foods.

I hope that you’ll try out Ragu’s newest Spicy Italian Style pasta sauce. You can find it in just about any grocery store. In fact, I’ve already seen this product at Walmart. What would you like to start making with this pasta sauce?

I do something similar with Kielbasa, but I like to use Tortellini and I use a Vodka Sauce then add some cheese on top. YUMMO! 🙂
