Do any of your children watch shows on PBS Kids? My daughters love to watch many of the shows that air on this channel. One of their favorites has been Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood. My daughters love shows about animals, which is probably why they love this show so much. One of the things I love about this show, is that it teaches children many things.

I was recently sent the DVD Daniel Goes Camping to review. This DVD comes with three episodes. Those include:

  • “Backyard Camping” Daniel and O the Owl are camping in the yard with Dad Tiger and O is a little hesitant to sleep in this unfamiliar setting. However, once he examines this new setting closely, he learns that it’s not so scary! In fact, different can be fun!
  • “Daniel’s Sleepover” Daniel and his parents go to Prince Wednesday’s castle for a family sleepover. When Daniel and Prince Wednesday go through their bedtime routines together, Daniel realizes how different it is sleeping at Prince Wednesday’s castle. As bedtime nears, Daniel and Prince Wednesday notice some things that are just a little bit scary…but they soon learn that once they investigate further, they actually aren’t scary at all!
  • “Nighttime in the Neighborhood” (extended adventure) Tonight is a special night in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe. In this tale, Daniel and his friends are going to a pajama party at the library! As Daniel and his family walk through the moonlit neighborhood, Daniel learns about all of the things that look and sound different at night.

Have your kids ever been camping before? This DVD has a lot to do with camping. My girls have actually never been camping before, but my husband and I are planning to bring them this summer. I think with this DVD it will teach children a lot about camping and much more.

I hope that you’ll pick up your very own copy of this DVD, especially if you have kids that love Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood. This has already been released, so you can pick up your own copy today.

This came out after my son has already outgrown it. It looks like a cute little program so my son would’ve loved if he was younger. I have to tell my sister-in-law that is because her son is almost to this age.
