School just ended for my daughters recently, which means they’ll be home with me during the Summer. Now that they’re home more often, I know there are going to be a lot more activities going on at home and my girls will get messier too.
I actually went to Costco about a week ago and joined their membership. I picked up three of their P&G products for at home. Dawn Ultra Platinum Advanced Power, Mr. Clean Magic Erasers and Downy Fresh Protect were the three items I picked out. I chose these three because I use them often around the house. I love being able to shop here for bulk items. If you know you’re going to use a lot of these products, then buying in bulk is always a great way to go, and you save money that way too.
I’m going to share about some of what we do during our days. We all get up, which is usually somewhere between 6-8 in the morning. My girls are used to getting up early, so they’re usually up by 7 each morning. When they had school they were up around 6:30, so they’re use to getting up early. You would think they’d want to sleep in now, but that’s not the case. They still get up early.
One of the things we love to do, is to go outside. The girls have a lot of fun activities they can do outside. We have 15 chickens, so those always keep us busy. We’ve even got a trampoline and swing set so the girls can enjoy playing outdoors. With them being outside often, that means their clothes are probably going to get dirty and smelly too.
One of my favorite products to use to get the smell out of clothes, is the Downy Fresh Protect. I think this smells amazing and I love using this product on our clothes. I just did a load of laundry with them today, and when the clothes are all finished they smell amazing.
This product is very simple to use. You put them in the drum of the washing machine before you put the clothes in. If I were to do a smaller load, I’d be using less of the beads and more if I were doing a larger load. They will dissolve in any temperature of water. This product works great to get those odors out of your clothes! I’m very happy with how well my clothes smell now. I can tell the scent is going to last a long time. I can already still smell them after a day on the clothes. This product definitely works on keeping clothes smell great.
Another thing I do daily, would be dishes. I normally use a dishwasher, but sometimes I like to wash some of the items by hand. Not all dishes are dishwasher safe, and I find some dishes easier to do by hand. The ones that have tough stuff on them that are hard to get off, I like to do by hand. I think it’s easier for me to wash them myself if they have tough foods on them. I like to use a sponge with a scrubby on the back side so that I can scrub the tough foods off.
Since I had made brownies not long ago, I had a pan with all the brownie pieces stuck to it. Now normally I would take this pan and soak it in some dish soap and water for a while. I do that because it helps get all those pieces loose. I actually did not do that with the Dawn Ultra Platinum Advanced Power dish soap.
Since this product works so great with dishes, I didn’t want to soak them, and in fact, you don’t have to! Instead of doing those overnight soaks, you can put the water and soap in the dish right away and start scrubbing it off.
This product is supposed to deliver the power of an overnight soak in just seconds. I honestly had a hard time believing that it could do that, so I tried it out for myself. I was amazed that it actually worked! My dish was clean within seconds. I couldn’t believe it! This is definitely the soap for me. I will not be going back to anything else. This is so amazing at how quick and clean my dishes were. I am very impressed with this.
One of my daughters favorite activities is to pain. They enjoy painting pictures for everyone. We have a lot of paints at the house, so they’ll never run out. I love being able to see them create their own pieces of art while using paints.
Even though they have fun painting, there is always one thing that comes with painting. A mess! My daughters always manage to get paint on the table when they’re painting. I don’t mind the mess though, because I have the Mr. Clean Magic Erasers to help clean up the mess.
With the help of Mr. Clean Magic Erasers, I was able to clean the paint right up. All it took was one swipe of the eraser, and it was all gone. It’s amazing how well these work. I remember when I use to buy these when they first came out. I have been buying them ever since too. This is one of my favorite cleaning products. These are great for many surfaces too. Just make sure to check out the back of the box to see what they’re safe on.
All of these products are great for every day use in my home. With two daughters it gets crazy around here. I’m always having to clean up daily with them. These P&G products from Costco are great for our home. They all help make each day easier. If I can get things cleaned up quicker and easier, then that makes the day a lot easier too.

The Downy Fresh Protect is something I need to get. I always want my laundry to not only be clean, but to smell nice as well. It would be nice to have the sheets smell fresh for a longer time.

I love those in-wash scent boosters! I can never just wash laundry with detergent now because I feel like they are never fresh smelling enough!

I see that Mr.Clean hasn’t changed their iconic guy logo, it’s quite nice actually. It’s supposed to represent quality and I wouldn’t expect no less from their products up to now. The best thing I’ve read here is that overnight soak-into-seconds magic. Wow, I got to have that Dawn!
