4th of July Kabobs

4 July, 2016 by KatBp 24 Comments

I can’t believe the 4th of July is already here! My girls are out of school and summer school is over as well. That means we have more time to spend together for two months before school starts up again.

We love to make all kinds of goodies, so since the 4th of July is today, I wanted to make something that everyone could enjoy that was a dessert. I love making kabobs, so that’s what I decided to make, was some 4th of July kabobs!
kabobs

Ingredients:

  • Strawberries
  • Blueberries
  • Marshmallows
  • Hot Fudge
  • Red & Blue Sprinkles
  • Brownies (I used boxed brownies and cooked them according to the package)
  • Skewers

Instructions:

All you have to do for these is put the fruit on the stick. It’s such a simple dessert and delicious too! I usually start with either a marshmallow or a strawberry. Make sure to cut off the one end of the strawberry so the leaves are not on there. After you put the strawberry or marshmallow on you’ll want to next put two blueberries on. Then you either do a strawberry or marshmallow again, two blueberries and then the brownie. Make sure the brownies are completely cooled before using those. I put mine in the fridge to cool down and then I cut them in about 1 inch squares. You just keep repeating the process til the skewers are full. Next I took the hot fudge and drizzled some over the kabobs. Then I take sprinkles and put that over the hot fudge so it sticks. That’s it! It’s such an easy recipe that tastes great too!

This is perfect for any 4th of July party! You’ve got all your red, white and blue foods on these kabobs, so it makes it very festive too. I hope you enjoy them as much as my family did!

Yum! Those kabobs look great. The preps tie is so small, and they’re great for carrying around and munching on!

Oh yum! These would be great any time! We’ve been having quite a bit of summer rain here but once it is nicer, I’d love to try making kabobs.
