Koikeya Ume Chips
Dive into Tokyo’s lively culinary scene with these savory, tangy, and zesty chips. Ume, or pickled sour plum, is a wildly popular Japanese food seasoning used in all kinds of dishes. I was pleasantly surprised that I actually enjoyed these chips. You could certainly taste that bit of plum, but it was in a good way. I really liked them.
Neko Banana Dorayaki
Bite into a purr-fectly delicious Japanese snack with a banana-infused filling. This was probably one of my favorite snacks out of all of these. I love banana flavor, so I wasn’t surprised when I tried this and really liked it. I also love that it has paw prints on the outside. Both cute and delicious!
Monjayaki Squid Chips
Snack like a Tokyo local with these umami, crunchy squid chips. Monjayaki is one of Tokyo’s famous local dishes, a kind of savory pancake filled with cabbage, seafood, and meat cooked on a hot plate. For me, these were not the greatest. I wasn’t really a fan of them, which I figured I wouldn’t be. For me, they didn’t have much flavor, but I’m sure others are going to enjoy them a lot.
Castella Donut
This mildly sweet and cake-style donut is a delicious nod to Tokyo’s flavor-packed past. Castella cake was originally brough into Japan from Portugal before they created their own version. For anyone who already loves donuts, these would be the snack to try. I really enjoyed this donut. I love the cake style donuts, so it I’m glad I was able to enjoy this one as well. It was like a donut you’d get here, but so much nicer and delicious too.
Mini Gummies
Elevate your snacking experience with these mini gummies, bursting with flavors as vibrant as Tokyo. Try all of the 4 different flavors: apple, grape, cola, and ramune soda. These were actually really good. They had a lot of great flavors. I loved each and every one of these different flavors. They taste a lot like the gummies I normally eat, but a bit better. I love that they have these as well. They were so good.
Chee-Zack
Discover the savory side of Tokyo with these cheesy, crunchy snack crackers. The cheese coating is lightly sweet, giving it a uniquely Japanese flavor. This was probably another one of my favorite snacks. This one had a lot of great cheesy flavor to it. Once you bite in to one of these, they are so crunchy and cheesy. Very delicious, and certainly one of my top favorites from this box.
Melon Cream Soda
Transport your taste buds to Tokyo’s cafe scene with this refreshing soda drink. This blend of sweet and creamy goodness is inspired by classic melon soda floats. This actually didn’t surprise me that I enjoyed this drink a lot. I have had drinks from Japan before, and they are amazing. This melon flavor was very sweet and delicious as well. I would certainly have more of this.
Pokemon Chocolate Marshmallow
Catch ’em all with these fluffy marshmallow snack, filled with a rich ganache. Each adorable package has a different classic Pokémon character. Another one of my favorites, mostly because I already love marshmallows. This one had some chocolate inside though, so that was an added touch that was extremely good. I also love that they have Pokémon on them. They are so cute!
Mini Choco Chip Cookies
These mini choco chip cookie pack is the perfect snack for any Tokyo traveler on the go. The packaging features Sanrio’s iconic Little Twin Stars characters for an added dash of kawaii. These were also really good. They taste just like chocolate chip cookies. The packaging was really adorable as well. They’re mini cookies that are great for on the go. A quick snack to eat that is very delicious.
Mitarashi Kibidango
This chewy, sweet, and savory mochi snack features one of Tokyo’s most iconic landmarks: Tokyo Skytree. Tip: The inner wafer-like paper is edible. This was actually a really interesting treat. I thought it was okay. It was definitely very chewy. At first I didn’t realize the inner paper was edible, so I was struggling to get that off. Once I knew it was edible, I tried it out and it was pretty good. A very interesting chewy treat.
Pai no Mi Mini Pies Peach Tart
Filled with peach-infused white chocolate, light flaky and delicious. These were actually another one of my favorites. I loved how flaky the outside of these was, yet it had a delicious peach infused filling on the inside. This would be something I’d try again as well. My favorite part of this was definitely that crunchy outside. It was so flaky and delicious.
Jumbo DIY Sauce Senbei
Get creative at snack time with this Tokyo-inspired crispy water-like senbei, or rice cracker. Complete with its own savory BBQ-like sauce packet, all you have to di is drizzle however much you want on a cracker and voila. These actually tasted like something I have had before. I still couldn’t figure it out, but these were really good. The sauce packet I didn’t really care for though. I ended up eating these plain without the sauce. They did have a very nice crispy taste though. Very good!
Hello Kitty Candy Mints
Add a touch of kawaii sweetness to your day with these Hello Kitty-inspired candy mints. These candy mints come in three amazing flavors: strawberry, kiwi, or pineapple. I really enjoyed these as well. They’ll be with me in my bag wherever I go now. Anytime I want a candy mint, I can take it out and pop one in my mouth. These were very sweet and delicious. I had the strawberry ones, and I highly enjoyed them.
Tokyo Shoyu Ramen
Savor the authentic flavors of Tokyo with every slurp of this rich and flavorful soy sauce-based ramen. Every taste with transport you to the hear of Japan’s bustling culinary capital. I really wanted to like this ramen because I do enjoy noodles a lot, but unfortunately for me, I didn’t like this. This is such a popular dish in Japan, so I was really hoping to like it, but you can’t like everything, so it’s okay. It just didn’t have a flavor that I enjoyed at all sadly. Hopefully you will all enjoy it though, because I know this is such a popular item.
KitKat Royal Milk Tea
This royal milk tea KitKat is made with a sweet and milky white chocolate base with a subtle hint of black tea. It tastes just like a royal milk tea drink that you might enjoy at a Tokyo Cat cafe. I was a bit hesitant at first for these, because I’ve had didn’t flavors of KitKats before, and didn’t really like them. I actually didn’t mind these ones though. They had a pretty good flavor. I do love tea as well, so I’m sure that helped out with the taste. They were definitely different, and sweet, but in a good way.
It was great trying out all these snacks from the TokyoTreat Snack box I can’t wait to try some others out too. Some were good and some were not so good. It’s okay though because I love trying new things. Even if not all of them are good, that’s fine too. There were so many that tasted amazing as well.

My son would love the ramen. He really likes the authentic ramen noodles vs the traditional ones in the states. It sounds like there are some great snacks to try in this box. The banana flavored treat is so cute with those paw prints. I’d love to try all these snacks except for the squid chips. I’ll pass on those.
They were mostly good, but some were not as good. The banana flavored treat was one of my favorites too.
