If you have been following along my movie journey, you’ll know that my daughters and I are watching movies from a list I made. You can check that list out HERE if you’d like. There are a ton of movies on this list that I plan to watch with my daughters. These were movies I watched growing up, so I want them to experience these movies as well. We all sit down as a family each week and pick out a movie. We don’t always get to watch one a week, but we try.
About Richie Rich
Macaulay Culkin stars as Richie Rich, a boy billionaire who can buy anything he desires–except a normal childhood. But when Richie’s parents are kidnapped in a hostile takeover attempt on the family corporate empire, it’s up to Richie and his loyal valet to rescue his mom and dad … and the family fortune.
I had already seen Richie Rich when I was a kid, and I loved it. If you have ever seen this movie, then you might remember that Richie has a McDonalds inside his house. That’s right, he has his own McDonalds! This was the perfect opportunity to have some McDonalds to go along with this movie. We didn’t get a whole lot because we don’t eat there much, but it was the perfect choice for this movie.
Richie Rich has always been a favorite movie of mine. I’m so glad I was able to share this one with my kids. I know they enjoyed it as much as I did as well. In this movie, Richie is a child who doesn’t get to get out much because of his family and always being on the go. He doesn’t really have any friends either, until one day he starts to hang out with a group of kids. His whole life begins to change after this, but in a good way.
Have you ever seen this movie before? I don’t think this was that much of a common movie, so if you haven’t seen it, I understand. I do think it’s worth watching though, especially if you have kids. I think they would enjoy seeing this one, just like mine did. You can always grab your very own copy off AMAZON too.
