Lionsgate has some great movies. I was recently provides with three movies to review. I received the Leap Frog Amazing World Explorers, Julius Jr. Pirates and Superheroes and Lalaloopsy Festival of Sugary Sweets on DVD.

I love letting my children watch the Leap Frog movies. They teach my kids a lot of different things. In this movie, they’ll teach you about rhyming, storytelling and word building. Special features in this movie include: sing-along videos and curriculum commentary for parents. One of my daughters is in Kindergarten and the other is going to be starting Preschool in the fall. I know how hard rhymes can me, so those are what I’ve been helping my children with lately. They’re doing a wonderful job. They both are able to tell me some words that rhyme. With the Leap Frog movie, I can have them watch it and see what other words can rhyme. I also really like the word building one as well. It’s a great movie for those to watch so they can learn a lot.

Join Leap, Tad, Lily and other friends as they go on a camping adventure to see the meteor shower. This is where they’ll learn to rhyme with songs. I think rhyming with song is a great choice because children often love to sing. It’s a catchy way for kids to learn.

Lalaloopsy Festival of Sugary Sweets was probably one of our favorite movies of the Lalaloopsy girls. My daughters and I love that they’re dolls and they are always having a lot of fun. They’re always about great friendship. I think the Lalaloopsy dolls have always been a great show for my children so they can learn more about how great friendships are.

This movie is all about making desserts/sugary sweets. Everyone wants to make their own treats for the festival, but when they’re all out of sugar, they don’t know what to do. They’ll have to learn to work together as a team and that will be something very special.

Julius Jr. has the following six episodes:

  • Farmer Sheree
  • Dez the Dragon
  • Banana-licious
  • Pirates and Superheroes
  • Bouncy Beans
  • A Real Hero

We absolutely love Julius Jr. in our house. My youngest daughter is probably the biggest fan out of all of us. She was so excited when she got to watch the Pirates & Superheros dvd.

My daughters and I love superheros and pirates, so we knew we were going to love this movie. Julius Jr. is a monkey who steps inside his magical box playhouse for some great adventures. Julius Jr. and his friends will have to use teamwork to outsmart a pirate captain and they’ll also discover that it takes more than super powers to be a real superhero.

Make sure to watch for this movies when they’re released. Julius Jr. arrives on February 24th, Lalaloopsy arrives on March 3rd and Leap Frog also arrives on March 3rd.

Once in a while, my kids and I still sings the Lalaloopsy song lol. So nice to reminisce those moments when both of them will have a cuddle time with me watching their shows. These are great movie selections!
