Does your family enjoy watching football? My family loves it, and we love getting together to watch the games together too. I know when the weather gets cooler, then football begins. I’m not a big fan of the cold weather, but I love this time of year since football is on. If your family enjoys getting together for football games, I’m guessing you have great food then too, right?! You have to have great food while you’re watching the football game. That is always a must for us.
My family loves Krusteaz products, and we love that they have such a variety of products to choose from too. The breakfast items have always been one of our favorites, but we enjoy many of their other items too. Since football has been on for a while now, we wanted to make some food with the Krusteaz products. I absolutely love cornbread, and I had an idea for some appetizers to make during football. I decided I would make some mini corn dog muffins with the cornbread products from Krusteaz.
The first thing you will want to do, is to mix the ingredients according to the package.
You’ll need the package of Krusteaz cornbread mix, 2/3 cup milk, 1/3 cup vegetable oil, and 1 egg. You’ll want to mix those all up in a bowl.
Next you will want to take a mini muffin/cupcake pan and spray it with cooking spray. If you have mini muffin/cupcake liners, you can use those as well. Those work best if you do have them. Then you can pour your mixture in. Fill them about 3/4 of the way full with the batter.
Now you’ll want to cup up some hot dogs. You want to cut each hot dog in to 8 pieces.
Now you want to take those hot dog pieces and put them in the middle of the batter that you put in your pans.
Now you can sprinkle some cheese on top of your choosing.
You will want to bake them on 375° for about 11-13 minutes.
Once they’re done, you just pull them out of the oven and let them cool off a bit and you’ll have a great appetizer for your football parties!
These mini corn dog muffins turned out amazing! If you love spicy, then you can try the fire roasted cornbread from Krusteaz as well. Either way, they’ll turn out great. Whether you like normal cornbread or spicier, they’re both delicious.
Do you enjoy Krusteaz products too? If so, what are some of your favorite products they have?
