Breakfast Skillet with Jennie-O Turkey Sausage

20 March, 2017 by KatBp 74 Comments

Disclosure: I’m part of the Jennie-O Switch Circle Blogger Program. I was not compensated for this post but I did receive the turkey for the post. All opinions are 100% my own and may differ from yours.

As some of you may know, I’m part of the Jennie-O  Switch Circe Blogger Program. This just means that I get sent some of the Jennie-O products a few times a year and I get to try them out and give my opinion on them. This time I was sent some turkey sausage. I knew exactly what I wanted to make when I found out I was getting this sausage.

I decided to make a breakfast meal since sausage is great for breakfast. I knew I had to make this because I know that my husband loves it and so do I. It’s very simple to make as well and won’t take you too much time to make.

Ingredients:

2 TBS Olive Oil

20 oz Bag of Simply Potatoes with Onions (or you can use regular potatoes and onions too)

16 oz. Jenni-O Turkey Sausage

4 Eggs Scrambled

1 Cup Shredded Cheese (any kind)

2-5 Over Easy Eggs (for on Top)

The first thing you’re going to want to do, is to get your potatoes cooked. Since potatoes take longer, I always start cooking them up first. Once they’re done, just set them aside.

Then while the potatoes are cooking, you can get the turkey sausage ready too. It shouldn’t take long to get this cooking either. Once you have it like you want it, you can put that aside as well.

Next I just took the turkey sausage and mixed it in with the potatoes.

I’m sure you all know how to make scrambled eggs, so you can get those ready on the side as well. Since these don’t take long at all, I made these last.

After the eggs were done, I added those to the turkey sausage and potatoes and mixed it up. Then I added the shredded cheese on top.

Once you have the shredded cheese on top, you can mix that all together.

Then you can make your over easy eggs and just set them right on top of the mix. That’s all there is to this meal. It’s very simple and delicious too! My husband came home last night and ate some of it and told me this morning that he really liked it! I didn’t even tell him I used turkey sausage either! He usually isn’t a fan of turkey meats like this, but he’ll never know!

Thanks to Jennie-O for providing me with the turkey sausage product. I’ll continue to buy these products because they’re a lot healthier options. I love that they also have a variety of products. It makes it easier to create something more healthy for my family.

I hope that you all love Jennie-O as much as I do! How many of you have tried some of their products before? What did you think of them?
