Buying a condo in Bangkok. The important things to consider

3 October, 2024 by KatBp Leave a Comment

Sometimes in life there appears a fantastic opportunity that must be grabbed with both hands before it disappears out of sight over the horizon. One might be the chance to take on a career challenge which will broaden the mind in an exciting city. There are not many more places fitting that description than Bangkok, which can take some adjusting to while incredible first impressions are created.

Once the amazement subsides slightly and a week or two may have been spent in a hotel acclimatising, it is time to purchase somewhere permanent. A condo is often recognised as a sound option, with The Extro Phayathai-Rangnam perhaps being amongst those that are viewed. Here are some of the important things to consider before signing the deal and becoming a Bangkok condo owner.

Bangkok is huge, bustling, and never seems to stop. Therefore, it is important to choose a condo in the right location. Being somewhere that takes forever to get to work can seriously affect a quality of life and lead quickly to tiredness in the heat which can have an adverse effect on being able to concentrate at work. Finding somewhere with excellent public transport links such as the BTS sky train is a sensible move so that travel time is slashed drastically. Likewise, being able to meet up with friends sociably is important so as not to feel isolated.

It is important to check out all the amenities that the condo provides, which could include a pool and fitness centre. Those who want to keep a car should ensure that there is parking onsite, while security is something else to think about. Visiting the local area can provide peace of mind, especially with a nighttime call to assess any noise pollution. This might affect the later resale value of the property should it be time to move on, while remembering that there may be risks concerning the investment owing to political instability or an economic downturn. Such thought might determine whether a bathtub installation seems worth it or not.

It is important to set a budget and stick to it so that finances are not overstretched which can lead to resentment if not being able to enjoy all the magnificent city has to offer. Checking out all the legalities and local regulations while ascertaining if there are any additional fees to be paid will provide peace of mind, as will accounting for monthly bills.

The interior of course is important when selecting the right condo. It should be roomy to allow total comfort, along with all the latest fixtures and fittings being in place and being of the highest quality. An excellent Wi-Fi connection for streaming and ensuring that the correct visa has been granted is important to those who may want to work from home and entertain guests.

Finding the right condo can make life in Bangkok so much more enjoyable with somewhere secure and comfortable to relax in, especially when it is well located for local amenities and accessibility.
