Now that fall is here and the weather is a lot colder, my family and I enjoy staying indoors. We still love outdoor activities, but it’s been so cold that none of us really want to be outside. We enjoy having game and movie nights on cold days. My daughter especially love playing games. We enjoy all kinds of games too. We have a space just for all of our games in our basement because we have so many. We often get new ones because it’s fun playing new games. Family game nights are the best!
Pressman and Goliath have some great games for all ages. We recently received a few ones that we hadn’t played before, except for the Lucky Ducks game. We’ve played that one before and the kids enjoyed that one. All of these games were fun as always. We love these brands a lot because they have some of the best games.
Tri-Ominos is similar to dominoes, but a bit different at the same time. The pieces are in triangles, and you have to match up all the numbers. It’s considered a classic triangular dominoes game, which is why it’s played similar to dominoes, just the pieces are triangles instead. This is a favorite of my daughters and I. We love being able to match up the numbers. I think it’s great for a bit of a challenge for my kids too. It gets them thinking and looking around to find which numbers can go where.
The classic triangular domino game! Score points by matching numbers on the three-sided pieces. Tri-Ominos Deluxe playing pieces are crystalline with brass spinners. Keep everything together in triangular box. Score points based on the numbered tiles you are able to play and score big with bridges and hexagons! Be the first player to score 400 points to win. For 2-4 players, ages 8 and up.
Game Contents:
- 56 Crystalline Deluxe playing pieces with brass spinner

Rummikub is a very different game from what we are used to. This was a new one for us, and it was a bit of a challenge learning at first. Once we got use to the game, it was a lot of fun. There are a couple different ways to get some “matches” and those are to get groups of at least three in a row for the numbers or get all the same numbers, but they can be different colors. It took some time for me to get my kids to understand how to play, but once they did, we had a lot of fun. I would say this is a fun one for the whole family, but it takes time to learn it if you have younger kids.
The beloved classic gets a fresh Twist! Rummikub has been enjoyed by millions and now includes three new Jokers for a fun new way to play. Rummikub with Twist Jokers is a favorite for new and seasoned players. The introduction of the Double Joker, the Color Change Joker and the Mirror Joker add new ways to strategize your way to victory.
It’s easy to learn, but packed with strategy–the “board” changes all the time as players adjust the tiles on the table. The Joker tiles add to the fun! Players take turns placing numbered tiles in runs (consecutive numbers of the same color, like 2, 3, 4 in red) and groups (three or more of the same number in different colors, like a red 9, a blue 9 and a black 9), rummy style. The object is to be the first to play every tile on your rack. Players keep track of who wins each round–the player who wins the most rounds, wins this time-tested tile game! There’s also a point system for use as a tie-breaker. This set features high-quality, stackable tiles with bright, colorful numbers that are easy to see. For 2-4 players, ages 8 and up.
Game Contents
- 112 High-Quality Tiles (Including 8 Jokers)
- 4 Racks

Lucky Ducks is a very simple game. This is great for younger kids. This game is made for kids 3 and older. This is why it’s so great for younger kids. If you’ve ever had your children play the duck game at the fairs/carnivals, you probably already know kind of how this game is going to go. You just have to press the orange button when you’re ready to play. Then everyone takes turn picking out a duck. Whoever gets all their right color/shape ducks, they win! That’s how simple this game is, which is why it’s such a good one for younger kids.
This wacky, quacky matching game combines developmental skills for young children with the fun of a “My First Game.” Lucky Ducks offers all the benefits of memory and matching games in a format that’s easier for little fingers than cards. As a bonus, it helps kids with shape recognition and colors. Switch on the circular pond, and the ducks start swimming–the bottom side of each duck has a colored shape. Players take turns picking up a duck and looking at the color and shape; if it matches their color and shape they get to keep the duck. If it doesn’t match they put it back. The ducks continue to swim so it’s more challenging than a traditional memory game, but easy enough for even the youngest duck lovers to play. This extra challenge makes the game more fun for parents and kids to play together, with plenty of opportunities for fun and learning. For 2-4 players ages 3 and up.
Game Contents:
- 1 Pond Shaped Game Unit
- 12 Ducks
- 1 Sticker Sheet

- Requires 2 AA batteries (not included)
Domino Junior Friends is a great one for kids. This isn’t really a game, but more of a fun item for kids to set up. My daughters had an awesome time with this one. They were playing it for hours! I thought it was great watching them put up all the dominos and the dinosaurs. They did a wonderful job when they were completely finished. Of course there were times when they kept knocking it over, so they had to rebuild. They didn’t mind though. They had so much fun with it. They absolutely loved that it came with the dinosaurs. I think that was one of the highlights for them was to see that they could build this with the dinosaurs.
Get ready for fun of Tyrannosaurus proportions with Domino Junior Friends “Deluxe”! The easy-to-use domino spacer tool simplifies set up, and the stunt dominos have been re-engineered to make setting up easier for little hands.
