I can’t believe that we’re already in the month of December! It’s crazy how time flies by quickly. I’m so excited for the holidays. It’s one of my favorite times of year. Being together with family is always the best. One thing I love to do, is make some homemade items for everyone. I’d rather make something myself than go out and buy something. I personally would rather get a gift from someone who they made.
I’ve always found popcorn to be a wonderful gift for the holidays. G.H. Cretors has a wonderful selection of popcorn. I think giving out popcorn for hostess gifts or just to those you love, is always fun. I love to dress up the popcorn and get creative with it. I know there are a lot of great recipe ideas out there as well as some fun crafts. I came up with a couple of ideas myself.
I love to make snowmen out of many different materials, so I knew that was something I had to give a try with this. I also made a simple gift bag filled with the popcorn. Both of these items are very simple to make, and don’t require a lot of items to make them either. I love to make quick and simple crafts/recipes, so I wanted to make something that everyone could easily make as well. Sometimes we just don’t have a lot of time, but we want to give out something special for the holidays. This is why I wanted to make something like these bags and snowmen.
All you have to do for the bags, is to find a nice bag to fill the popcorn up with. Than what you do is find some gift tags and ribbon. Tie the both of those on there, and you’re done. It’s so easy! I always write a message on the tags as well. I just did a simple “Happy Holidays” one for these bags. Quick and easy for sure! For the snowmen, I used containers and filled them up with popcorn. I drew on the eyes, mouth and nose with markers. Than I took some thicker ribbon and typed it around the container to make the scarf. That’s all there is to that one as well. So easy!
The popcorn I used for all these gifts, were the Just The Caramel Corn, The Mix and Chili Jalepeno White Cheddar. All of these flavors are amazing. My personal favorite is the caramel corn. I have tried their popcorn many times, and that has always been one of my favorites. My youngest daughter loves it as well. We’re both big fans of caramel corn. My oldest daughter loved the mix one because of the cheesy popcorn. She’s a big fan of any cheese popcorn.
