Movie #14 is Groundhog Day

If you have been following along my movie journey, you’ll know that my daughters and I are watching movies from a list I made. You can check that list out HERE if you’d like. There are a ton of movies on this list that I plan to watch with my daughters. These were movies I watched growing up, so I want them to experience these movies as well. We all sit down as a family each week and pick out a movie. We don’t always get to watch one a week, but we try.

About Groundhog Day

Bill Murray is at his wry, wisecracking best in this riotous romantic comedy about a weatherman caught in a personal time warp on the worst day of his life. Teamed with a relentlessly cheerful producer (Andie MacDowell) and a smart-aleck cameraman (Chris Elliott), TV weatherman Phil Connors (Bill Murray) is sent to Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, to cover the annual Groundhog Day festivities. After a surprise blizzard traps him in small-town hell, things get even worse; Phil wakes the next morning to find it’s GROUNDHOG DAY all over again… and again… and again.

As you all know, we love doing charcuterie boards when we do our movie nights. This is a great way to have some food to go along with our movie. This time we did more of a breakfast theme board or breads. There is a scene in the movie where they are eating, and there are lots of breads and breakfast items. I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to have a charcuterie board like this. It fit in well with the movie.
We all really enjoyed this movie. I actually think this was the first time I had seen this movie. I’ve always wanted to watch it though, so I’m very glad I got to see this one with my daughters. It was interesting seeing the days start over and over and over. There are other movies I’ve seen where the same day is repeated too. I personally thought this was a wonderful movie, and I would see it again. My daughters actually liked it as well, so that is a huge plus. Very enjoyable.
Have you ever seen Groundhog Day? I’d love to know what you thought about it. I think it’s a great movie for anyone to see. Watch it with your family for a fun family movie night. That’s what we did, and I’m so glad we did. It was enjoyed by all. If you want to get a copy of this movie, you can always check it out on AMAZON.

This is such a good movie. It’s been a while since I’ve seen it, so I’ll have to do a re-watch.

    Your snacks look tasty too!

I’m loving your charcuterie board selection for this movie. Groundhog Day was one of my favorite movies back in the day. I haven’t watched it in a while I guess I need to pull it out. :0)

I remember this movie well! I often make a lot of Groundhog Day references. I haven’t seen the movie in so long, and it would be fun to check it out again.
