Summer Bucket List For Kids

10 July, 2017 by KatBp 70 Comments

Is everyone enjoying their summer so far? I know my kids sure are. They do tend to run out of things to do though. I try to keep them busy as much as possible. I hate to hear the words, I’m bored. I decided to create a bucket list for my daughters. This way when they get bored, we can do something off this list. I don’t know if we’ll get through the whole list this summer, but I’d like to at least try.

  1. Have a picnic.
  2. Go camping.
  3. Go to a fair.
  4. Go to a waterpark.
  5. Make ice cream.
  6. Blow bubbles.
  7. Have a water balloon fight.
  8. Have a sleepover with friends.
  9. Go swimming.
  10. Make a fort.
  11. Go hiking.
  12. Fly a kite.
  13. Have a lemonade stand.
  14. Go to the zoo.
  15. Catch some bugs.
  16. Go fishing.
  17. Play board games.
  18. Play in the sprinkler.
  19. Make s’mores.
  20. Have a scavenger hunt.
  21. Attend an activity at the library.
  22. Go to the movies.
  23. Go to a parade.
  24. Go bowling.
  25. Make homemade popsicles.
  26. See fireworks.
  27. Mail a letter to someone.
  28. Bake cookies.
  29. Go skating.
  30. Go for a bike ride.
  31. Go to the beach.
  32. Have a puppet show.
  33. Make root beer floats.
  34. Play frisbee.
  35. Catch butterflies.
  36. Go to the park.
  37. Do some puzzles.
  38. Make homemade playdough.
  39. Go mini golfing.
  40. Play with chalk.
  41. Go to a museum.
  42. Do some science projects.
  43. Make a bird feeder.
  44. Tie dye t-shirts.
  45. Have a pizza party.
  46. Have a movie night.
  47. Make a snow cone.
  48. Go to an amusement park.
  49. Have a sale.
  50. Set up a slip n slide.

These are just some of the things I’d love to try with my girls this summer. They’re excited to be able to try to get this list done! We’re going to work hard on getting through most of these this summer. Do you have a bucket list for the summer with your kids?

This is a great list- we used to host a lemonade and cupcake stand every Summer. I miss having my nieces and nephews around!

They’re so much fun too! I’m hoping my girls will want to do another lemonade stand soon. They usually do really well with them.

This is a great summer bucket list for kids! I did a lot of childcare over summers, and we would pick a different theme each day, and have the activities for the day revolve around that theme. One of my biggest things for summer, whether you are a child or an adult is to learn something new everyday, such an important thing in life to never stop learning.

Lemonade stand is a must for any child. You have to have that experience at least once in your lifetime. Also having a garage sale and selling old toys and clothes is a great way to earn summer cash and a fun thing for kids, especially those learning to count change.
