Summer Fun With Doodle Hog

Schools Out

Now that school is out, kids get to enjoy the summer being home. My daughters decided they wanted to take some fun classes in summer school this year, so they have been keeping busy a few hours a day with that. There are still many times when I hear the words I’m bored. There is so much for kids to do that you wouldn’t think they would get so bored so easily. Now days it seems to be harder to keep kids entertained. With Doodle Hog, kids can do some fun crafts and activities over the summer.

Doodle Hog has a variety of kits and supplies to keep kids busy this summer. One of my daughters favorite things, are squishies. They love collecting them, and they have a great collection already. Doodle Hog has these squishy kits where you can actually color them yourself.

Squishies 

Since I have two daughters, I thought this kit with four squishies would be perfect for them. That way they can paint two squishies each. They didn’t have any troubles deciding which ones they wanted. My daughters have painted squishies before and loved it. I knew they were going to have a lot of fun with this and be very creative too.

This kit came with four different colors as well as glitter. My daughters were able to mix some of the colors up to create other colors as well. They loved being able to paint the squishies the way they wanted. I know that they enjoyed using the glitter as well. It really gave their squishies some extra sparkle.

Soft and Squishy

My daughters love doing all kinds of crafts, and they said this has been a favorite of theirs. They both enjoy painting, so I think that is one of the reasons they loved this so much. These squishies are also very soft and squishy. They mentioned that and said they’re some of the squishiest ones they’ve had yet. Both of my daughters were very excited about that.

Tie Dye

Tie dye is another thing that my daughters and I enjoy. We got this wonderful tie dye party kit that is perfect for doing a lot of tie dye at once. My daughters are always excited when we do tye die. We usually do shirts the most because we love to wear them. We are always excited to see how the design will turn out. We’ve always said that you can never mess up tie dye. Something wonderful always happens with tie dye no matter what look you’re going for.

Get Them Wet First

You always want to make sure you get your items wet before you start to dye them. This is going to help soak all the colors. You’re not going to want to dye them when they’re dry, so make sure to always rinse them with some water first. Once you have them wet, you can get started. There are so many ways to make designs on your shirts. My daughters and I will sometimes look up designs, and sometimes we just go with it and decide what to do when we’re outside. It can be fun just coming up with your own design too.

Use Rubber Bands

You can use rubber bands to separate some of the pieces so that the colors don’t blend. This also can create different effects. Depending on what you’re planning to do for your design, you’ll fold it differently as well as put the rubber bands on. There are so many wonderful designs out there. We’ve found so many that we want to create.

The colors that come in this kit are very bright and beautiful. My daughters and I were talking a lot about how much we love the colors. We’re excited to start using the rest of the colors to see how they turn out as well.

My daughters were very thrilled with their shirts. They did a couple of shirts and had so much fun. We can’t wait to make more. This kit is great for parties too. I’ve told my daughters that they can invite some friends over for some tie dye fun. Everyone is so excited and can’t wait. This kit is great for birthday parties or for anyone who loves to do a lot of tie dye.
