One thing my family loves to do, is to play games. We play games a lot because we enjoy them so much. We love our family game nights. We’re always getting new games to try out too. There are so many games out there to play that are great for families. We love games so much, that we play that just about every day. It’s a great way for families to get together and have some fun too. Games have always been something I’ve loved to play ever since I was a child. I can still remember playing with all my friends and family when I was little too.
Top Trumps have some very fun games for families to play. They have a lot of different varieties of card games to play as well as other games. These card games are very similar in the way you play them, but they have different types of characters. We got some Shopkins ones as well as Peppa Pig. They even have these games called Match, which again they have different character ones too.
We got the Emotis match game and we all loved it. We actually played some of these match games and card games when we went to the Chicago Toy and Game Fair last month. We had so much fun, and were glad when we got some of the games ourselves. My youngest daughter, Tesla, loves this matching game. It’s one of her favorite games to play now. She’s always asking if we can play it.
The object of this game, is to get five matches in a row. The first person to play will knock out the top corner dice and the game will begin. Once the piece is knocked out, you grab the dice and push through another one. You’re going to be able to look all over the dice for a picture you want. As you can see from the photo above, I had got five poop emoji’s in a row. That means I yelled out “match” and could win. Now this doesn’t mean you win just yet. There are also cards that each person has. Each person has two cards. The person that didn’t get the match needs to look at their cards to see if they have the poop emoji since that’s the one the other player got the matches to. If that person has a poop card, than they end up winning the game.
The Top Trump cards are a lot of fun as well. In fact, our family has played these card games so many times already. We love them a lot, and love that they have so many different types. We got the Shopkins and Peppa Pig ones, and have been having fun with those. The Shopkins tin came with two different card sets. They’re all Shopkins of course, just different types on each set.
How to play the Top Trums Games:
1. Shuffle and deal the cards face down.
2. Players pick up their cards and look at their top cards only.
3. Player 1 (left of dealer) chooses and calls out their best stat (e.g. ‘Dark Side – 6’).
4. The other players see if they can beat this stat (Highest number wins).
5. The card with the highest stat wins all of the top cards and adds them to the base of their pile.
6. The winner of the round chooses the stat for the next round.
7. The first player to get all of the cards wins!
