ValleyFair 2017

26 September, 2017 by KatBp 62 Comments

I’m very excited that fall is officially here. I do love summer as well, but it can get a bit hot in summer. I love fall because the leaves are changing and the weather starts to cool down a bit. Of course Halloween is one of my favorite parts of fall as well. How many of you love Halloween as well? It’s such a great time of year to spend with my children. They enjoy Halloween as much as I do.

Right now at Valleyfair they have The Great Pumpkin Fest going on Saturdays and Sundays. This means they have a lot of great Halloween activities going on for the kids to enjoy. I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to have some fun at Valleyfair with my daughters. These activities include: Charlie Brown’s Pirate Adventure, Story Telling Witch, Great Pumpkin Parade, Trick or Treat Street, Peppermint Patty’s Haybale Maze, Sally’s Craft Corner, PigPen’s People Washer, Sally’s Spooky Sing-A-Long and It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown movie.

I would have to say that PigPen’s People Washer was both of my daughters favorite part of The Great Pumpkin Fest. They had so much fun in there. There were so many bubbles coming out. They may have been a bit chilly afterwards, but they enjoyed it a lot.

They also enjoyed going through Peppermint Patty’s Haybale Maze. They were able to look for small pumpkins while in the maze as well. They were able to pick one out and bring it home with them. We have already put these outside our home for decoration.

This time a year around Valleyfair you’ll find a lot of spooky Halloween decorations. I had to snap a photo with my daughters and father of this one pictured above. It was probably one of my favorite Halloween displays there. They even had haunted houses around, but I couldn’t get my daughters to go in, so we had to skip out on those. Hopefully when they’re older they’ll want to do that with me.

I was very surprised that I got my daughters to go on the North Star. This was a swing that went up 230 feet and would spin riders up to 40mph. This is one of their newer rides, and it was the first time I had gone on it as well. This was certainly one of my newest favorite rides now. My youngest daughter and I went on this a few times, and I got to take my oldest on it once. She didn’t want to go at first, but I finally convinced her to go and she loved it. This is definitely a ride you will have to try when you’re at Valleyfair.

The Tilter has always been a favorite of my daughters. They always have to go on this ride whenever they see it. They had to have gone on this one at least five times if not way more. I’m sure many of you have ridden a ride like this at any of your local fairs. My daughters were so thrilled to be able to go on this ride as many times as they wanted.

My ultimate favorite ride is Steel Venom. This has been my favorite ride ever since they put it in. You can see part of the ride from the photo above. It goes forward and backward in the shape of a snake. Northern Lights is a great family ride for my daughters and I. We love this one too. This ride spins as it travels back and forth on the track.

They have an area dedicated to the kids as well. It’s always great to have some kids rides. Peanuts 500 is a car ride. Kids will whip around sharp turns on the NASCAR inspired mini track. I have actually been on this ride with my daughters before, and I have to say it’s very fun. This is always one of my favorite kid rides too.

The Kite Eating Tree is another fun ride for kids. It takes them up a ways, and then slowly drops them down. My daughters always have a lot of fun on this one. I know when they get older they’re going to love the Power Tower. The Power town is just like this ride, but way bigger. My daughters are not tall enough for that one, so I let them ride this one and they loved it.

Linus Launcher was another fun one for my daughters. This was their first time trying out this ride. They were very excited for this one because they got to lay down on their stomachs for it. This ride is like an experience of free flight. They really enjoyed this one as well.

Peanuts Playhouse is a fun place where kids can play. It’s a two-story interactive play area that features foam balls. They always enjoy going in this play area when they’re at Valleyfair. It’s filled with so much fun for all kids.

Overall we had an amazing time at Valleyfair. We can’t wait to go again. Hopefully next year we’ll be going again. We can’t wait for my daughters to become taller so they get to experience some more rides as well. I know they’re going to enjoy them as much as I do. If you’re ever in the area, make sure to check them out. If you love rides as much as my family does, than you’re not going to be disappointed.

Have you ever visited Valleyfair before? If so, what are your favorite rides? If you have never been, let me know which rides look fun to you!

That looks like a great park and I love Charlie Brown and Peanuts. It is better to go to the park during fall because the summer heat is too much sometimes.
