Veggie Flatbread Pizza

26 January, 2015 by KatBp 69 Comments

Ingredients:

  • Green, Orange and Yellow Peppers
  • Diced Tomatoes
  • Diced Onions
  • Black Olives
  • Shredded Cheese-optional (I think it gives it a better taste)
  • Krusteaz Flatbread-Italian Herb
  • Olive Oil

Instructions:

Make the flatbread according to the package of Krusteaz.

IMG_4544

Once you have those flattened out on your baking pan, spread some olive oil on the dough. Just do a light coat with the olive oil. Next I put some of the diced tomatoes on and spread those around. I used the diced tomatoes from a can.

IMG_4545

Then I cut up the green peppers and spread those around.

IMG_4548

I cut up some onions and sprinkled them on.

IMG_4550

Then I sliced up the black olives and sprinkled those on as well. You could always buy the already sliced black olives too.

IMG_4552

Then I put the orange and yellow cut up peppers on.

IMG_4554

Next I put them in the oven at 475 degrees. I cooked them for about 10-15 minutes. The package says 7-11 but it took mine a bit longer. As long as you cook them until the outside of the crust is a golden brown it will be fine. I sprinkled the cheese on the pizza when there were about 3 minutes left til it was done. One of these pizzas and cheese and the other doesn’t.

This is a very simple recipe. I really enjoyed it and I hope that you do as well. The Krusteaz flatbread made it taste really delicious! I love the Italian herb taste!

I am a huge fan of home made pizza and these look great. I like the fact that you used diced tomatoes and not a sauce. This is one for the “give it a try file.”
