Wee Forest Folk Review

21 November, 2012 by KatBp Leave a Comment

I can’t believe how fast Christmas is approaching. Have you started decorating for Christmas yet? I usually wait til after Thanksgiving to set up our tree. Normally I like to wait til the beginning of December. Have you thought about what decorations you’re going to use this year? All I have is a tree with some ornaments. I’d love to decorate the whole house with Christmas stuff. It’s always so hard to choose decorations though. I love putting up Christmas figurines. They always have such cute ones to choose from. Have you ever heard of Wee Forest Folk? I’ve had the chance to review one of their Christmas items.

Wee Forest Folk is a small business that makes a line of miniatures, which are mainly mice. They begin with a piece of clay, which gets hand sculptured. The finished sculptures are molded and hand cast at the “mouse factory” in Carlisle, MA. Artists will then paint each piece by hand to bring the mice to life.

I was given the “Waiting For Christmas” miniature for review. I can’t believe that these are all hand crafted. They must have taken lot’s of hard work and dedication. Every detail is amazing and they’re absolutely adorable. The one I received has a mouse sitting down next to some gifts and a candy cane. You can tell that they went in to great detail with the work. Everything seems so realistic and the colors are so beautiful. I can’t believe someone hand painted these! It takes a lot of practice and talent to make something so beautiful. This will make a perfect decoration for Christmas. I can’t wait to get started decorating for Christmas. I know this miniature will be placed in a safe place for Christmas. I’ve got two daughters so I want to make sure to keep this piece safe and out of reach from my children.

If you’re looking to add more decoration to your home, check out Wee Forest Folk. They have more than just Christmas mice. They have lots of other miniatures to choose from too. There are some bunnies and bears as well. They put so much time and dedication in to their pieces. Why not get a great hand crafted piece?

Disclosure: I received this product in exchange for a review. The opinions are all my own and may differ from yours.
