What’s Happening

This past week as been a busy week for my family. We’ve done a lot, and I’ll share that all with you. Each week I want to keep sharing more about what we have done during the week. Here is what was going on this past week.

Bath & Body Works

Mercades and I love going to Bath & Body Works. It’s one of our favorite stores. A few months ago she started getting in to candles, lotion and spray. She loves all these, so I knew Bath & Body Works would be a great place to go with her. Not long ago they had their 75% off sale on many great items. I actually ended up going to two different stores and checking out their deals. We even had a coupon for one free item as well as a 20% off coupon. This means I was able to use those at one of the stores, bringing my total down pretty low. We had so much fun looking through all the items.

TENZI

My family started playing a game called TENZI and we absolutely love it. I would have to say this is one of our favorite games now. We have had so much fun with it. It’s nice to see that our family can get together and play games like this. It’s a dice game with so many different options of how to play. We could play this game for hours. It’s that much fun! I’m just happy that we found a game that we can all enjoy together. It’s not often that we always agree on a game, so this was great. 

Hot Chocolate Bombs

My daughters and I made hot chocolate bombs for the first time. They were actually a lot easier to make then we thought they would be. Our very first time we tried making them was a fail because we forgot to make the second layer. After we realized we forgot to do that, we made another batch and they turned out great. They are so much fun! I highly recommend making these if you haven’t tried them yet. It’s fun to watch them open up and see the marshmallows pop out. Get yourself a hot chocolate bomb mold if you haven’t. I ordered mine off of Amazon.

Applebee’s

It has been a while since we have been to Applebee’s, and my daughters love eating here. We went out to eat here with my father (the girls papa) and we all enjoyed it. Applebee’s is one of our favorite sit down restaurants. Tesla always likes to order the cheeseburger kids meal. It’s a favorite of hers. I don’t think she’s ever ordered anything different. I always order the three cheese chicken penne. It’s my ultimate favorite there. I love it so much. Mercades also loves it, so we always split this and share it. Half of it is plenty for the both of us. We always end up full then anyways, plus it saves more money this way too. 

Burger King Has Surge

I know that Surge came back awhile ago, but I have never seen it in a fast food restaurant until I went to Burger King. When I was a kid I use to love Surge. The original is still my favorite. The other flavors were not to bad though. I just prefer to have the original Surge. I was so happy to see that they had this option available at Burger King. It’s nice to finally see some new options for beverages.

Trying Out Mattresses

My daughters have both been wanting a new mattress for a while, and my husband and I finally decided it was time to get them both a mattress. We let them look around and try out different mattresses to see what they were comfortable with. It turns out that they both wanted the exact same mattress. We did order a mattress for both of my daughters, and they should be here by the end of the week. They are both happy and excited and can’t wait to get their new mattresses.

Trying New Pringles 

I found three flavors of Pringles that I have not tried yet and they were all new. It’s fun trying out new foods, so I grabbed these three. Spicy foods are the best, so I enjoyed the Scorchin Pringles a lot. I’m not a fan of the Parmesan & Roasted Garlic though. In fact, nobody in my family liked those unfortunately.

Takis Blue Heat

I love Takis and I have been trying all the flavors that they come out with. One of the newest ones I’ve tried, are the Blue Heat ones. I enjoyed these ones a lot. If you love spicy foods and haven’t tried Takis yet, I highly recommend them. They have come out with so many different flavors. This is probably one of my favorites now. I really enjoyed these ones a lot.

Mtn Dew Frost Bite

I heard that this has been out for awhile now, but this was the first time I actually tried it. Mercades and I love giving new stuff a try, and this was actually really good. I don’t normally drink soda, as I love my water. It’s nice to be able to try out other beverages sometimes though. I really enjoyed this one. It’s not often I enjoy soda, but this was pretty good. I can’t explain what it tastes like, but it’s good.

Little Bites Mini Party Cake Cookies

I was not really of fan of these, and neither were my daughters. They taste good, it’s just that they were way to sweet for me. I am not much of a fan of sweet foods. If you love sweet cookies, then you would probably love these. They do have a great taste, but again, they were just to sweet for me.

Krispy Kreme Doughnut Bites & Mini Crullers

They came out with a lot of different flavors of these. I grabbed one of each box that I saw. I love Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, and I’m not much of a doughnut fan usually. Something about this brand is always amazing. I loved each and every one of these too. I love the original glazed ones the most, but just because that’s what I normally like. Those are the types of doughnuts that I actually like. I have to say that the blueberry ones were amazing as well. Those three were probably my ultimate favorite ones.

 

 

Walmart Deals

I’m always on the hunt for deals when I go out shopping. I heard that Walmart had a lot of stuff on sale right now. One thing I always do, is scan the items with the Walmart app. Sometimes you can find hidden deals, which means some stuff is on sale and you wouldn’t know it because they’re not showing that they’re on sale. Also, when stuff is on sale, sometimes it’s cheaper then what it actually says. This is why it’s important to always scan. My daughters love slime, and the big buckets of slime were only $2 and the smaller ones were just $1. Many other toys were on sale as well. I also saw a lot of clothing on sale. A family member of mine is pregnant, so I checked out the baby section and found a few things. Some clothing was on sale for only $1! I grabbed those right away. There was a high chair for $25 and a crib for $30! All amazing deals! You just have to keep searching and you’ll find some great deals too.

Cleaning & Getting Rid Of Clutter

I also helped my daughters clean up their rooms and we got rid of a lot of toys. We try to do this often to get rid of some of the stuff that they no longer play with or want. We were able to give lots of boxes of toys and other various items away. It feels great to get rid of all the clutter too. We are still working on it, but we are slowly going through each room of our house to see if there is anything else we don’t need or want. We are always excited to be able to get rid of some stuff. It always makes us feel better to get rid of items. Plus, we usually donate them to someone, so that feels great too.
