I know many of you have been following along, so you know my family and I are doing the ABC date night challenge. Of course it’s family edition. Letter C was actually mine, and I wanted to go to Crystal Cave. I remember going here a couple times when I was a kid, and my youngest daughter and husband never got the chance to go, so this is part of why I chose to go here, plus, it’s an amazing place to see.
If you have never been to Crystal Cave, I highly suggest it. If you’re nowhere near it, maybe if you’re in the area sometime, check it out. Otherwise I’m sure there are other caves around you as well. If you have never been to a cave at all before, check to see if there are any near you. It is such an amazing opportunity to be able to see caves.
I always love to hear about the history of how they were found or formed as well. There are so many interesting stories. Turns out that kids were the ones who had first discovered this cave, and it was on complete accident. Amazing, right?! Imagine finding a cave that nobody ever knew about. It’s so interesting to hear all about these caves. They were very cold inside as well, so if you ever do go inside a cave, probably bring a sweater or light jacket, which we did.
Not only did they have the cave to explore, but outside, they had a couple of different trails you could take. My husband and I especially love to walk along trails. It was pretty hot out this day though, so we only ended up walking the one trail.
The trails had so many great opportunities for some amazing photos. This is one of the things I love about walking on trails. You can find so many neat things out in nature. Taking photos outdoors is one of my favorite things too.
Crystal Cave was an amazing experience for all of us, even if my oldest daughter and I have already been. I hadn’t gone since I was a child, so I was thrilled to be able to go again. This has been one of my favorite places to go. We all had such a wonderful time. They didn’t allow for videos, but we were allowed to take photos, and boy did I love getting photos. Such a wonderful experience for us all.
