Family Game Time With Goliath

21 January, 2019 by KatBp 60 Comments

With the weather becoming colder, my family enjoys staying indoors. We don’t care for the cold much, even though we do love the snow. Unfortunately, we haven’t been getting much for snow around here at all yet this year. It’s been super chilly, just no snow for us. Since it is too cold to be outside, my family enjoys playing board games together. That’s one way to have some fun while you’re indoors, and the whole family loves it.

Goliath has some great games to play for families. We have a lot of their games, because we love the company, and they always have some of the best games for us. We are always on the hunt for new games to play. We may have tons of games at home already, but that doesn’t mean we don’t want more. We are always wanting newer games to play for our family.

Test your code-cracking prowess with Mastermind, the challenging game of logic and deduction. Can you crack the code in 10 moves or less? Can you create a code that can’t be cracked? With more than 55 million units sold, Mastermind is a great strategy game…and one of the world’s most popular games ever. It’s easy to learn and fast to play and with thousands of code possibilities, it’s different every time. The Codemaker sets a secret code, then the Codebreaker tries to match the code using logic, deduction and maybe a little bit of luck. After each move, the Codemaker gives clues to the Codebreaker.  Make the code even more devious by using multiple pegs of the same color or by leaving one or more peg holes empty. With so many possible code combinations, every game is guaranteed to be a brainteaser. All of these game components can be stored in the game board! The winner will be a true Mastermind! For 2 players, ages 8 and up.

Game contents

  • Mastermind game console with built-in storage tray and code shield
  • 108 Code pegs in 6 colors
  • 30 Key pegs in 2 colors
  • Complete instructions

Mastermind is one of my kids favorite games. I use to play this one when I was younger as well. It’s simple once you get the hang of it, and my daughters were able to learn how to play this one quickly. The object of this game is to guess the colors that the one player puts down. They will choose four colors, and you have to try to guess which ones they placed, and exactly where they placed them as well. It’s a very fun game that my whole family enjoys playing.

Play a card from your hand, place a chip on a corresponding space on the game board…when you have five in a row, it’s a . Learn to block your opponents – remove their chips. Watch out for the Jacks – THEY’RE WILD! With a little strategy and a little luck – you’re a winner!

CONTENTS:
  • Folding Game Board
  • Sequence Playing Cards
  • 135 Sequence Playing Chips
  • Game Instructions

Sequence is by far one of our favorite games so far. My daughters and I have played this one a couple of different ways, so we were thrilled to get this one. This one is a bit harder than the ones my girls are used to, just because theirs was one that was targeted more towards children. This one has got a lot more to it, and it’s more challenging, which we love!  The object of this game is to get five in a row before anyone else to win. Their are colored chips that you use for your spots, and the cards are what help you find the spot. You can only move where your cards are shown. Let’s say you had the nine of diamonds, then you have to place your chip on one of those. You’ll have a certain amount of cards to start with, so you’ll have a few spots to choose from. We have already played this game a few times. We love it so much!

The classic triangular domino game! Score points by matching numbers on the three-sided pieces. Tri-Ominos Deluxe playing pieces are crystalline with brass spinners. Keep everything together in triangular box. Score points based on the numbered tiles you are able to play and score big with bridges and hexagons! Be the first player to score 400 points to win. For 2-4 players, ages 8 and up.

Game Contents:

  • 56 Crystalline Deluxe playing pieces with brass spinner
  • 4 Racks
  • Complete Instructions

Tri-Ominos Deluxe is a game that is similar to dominos, but the pieces are triangle-shaped. You have to match all the numbers up on the sides to other pieces. We love that these are in the shape of triangles, because that makes it a bit more challenging. We love games that have more of a challenge.

All of these games are tons of fun. My family plays them very often. We really enjoy playing games together as a family, and I love that we can get together and have fun playing games. I always love spending time with my family. These games from Goliath can really bring you all together for a family fun game night!

Do you enjoy playing games with your family?
