Magna Color Review

My daughters love arts and crafts. Some of their favorite things are to paint, color and draw. I think all kids love to be creative. When I heard about the Magna Color I just knew my children were going to love this.

The Magna Color is a design station that came with magnetic dots in four colors of yellow, red, green and orange. It also came with under water stencils with the designs of a turtle, fish, starfish and an octopus. Of course it also came with the magna color studio as well. You are able to buy more items that were not included with this. There are actually a couple other colors and they have extra stencils to order too.

This board is magnetic so all those magnetic dots stick right to the board. It’s really a neat toy! My kids really enjoy it and are still playing with this daily. You’re able to push all the dots forward with this little tool it comes with to help push them forward. They will then drop down to the back side of the board.

You’ll see in the photo above that the dots are now on the back side. As you can see there are four different colors that I had received with my Magna Color. There are also a couple other colors but those were not included so you can always buy more on their site. Once all your dots are on the back side you’ll want to shake the toy back and forth so that all the dots are separated. They are all different sizes so they will all separate themselves by color when you shake it. After they’re all separated you can turn it so that the pens are facing upwards and then make sure the colored tabs are moved so they’re open. This way you can shake the dots again to get the dots to actually move all the way down in the pens. Then you can take those pens out and start using them!

All you have to do with the pens is to press down just slightly on the photo to create your beautiful piece. You don’t have to use the stencils either, you can use just the board without them and create your own piece. You want to make sure not to press down to hard or more than one dot might come out at once. My daughters always seem to press down to hard and create more dots but they have so much fun with it.  I’m glad to have a toy like this that they can enjoy.

If you know any kids that love arts and crafts then this would be a great toy for them. I’m an adult and I even enjoy this toy. You can also use your tablet to make this come to life!
